Favre Leuba’s Deep Raider Revival has always leaned into the brand’s utilitarian dive-watch history, but its latest editions shift some of the spotlight to what happens off the case.
For this limited trio, the Swiss name has partnered with French strap maker Jean Rousseau, turning leather, recycled fabric and rubber into the defining character of three otherwise closely related divers.
It’s a neat idea because the changes aren’t just cosmetic afterthoughts. Each version gets its own strap, matching dial details and a caseback motif tied to the material on the wrist.

At a glance
- Favre Leuba and Jean Rousseau have introduced three limited Deep Raider Revival editions, each capped at 33 pieces.
- The 39mm steel diver keeps 300m water resistance, a 60-minute unidirectional bezel and the FLD01 automatic movement with a 68-hour power reserve.
- Prices are £2,250 or $3,200, with 99 watches produced across the full trio.
Jean Rousseau gets equal billing
Jean Rousseau is a familiar name to collectors who pay attention to strap quality, particularly in the upper end of traditional watchmaking.
Here, the French atelier isn’t simply supplying an accessory. Its work shapes the identity of each watch.
Favre Leuba has kept the core Deep Raider Revival architecture intact, then used strap material and colour as the starting point for the dial accents and caseback artwork.

That makes the collaboration feel more integrated than the usual limited-edition strap swap.
A compact diver with proper tool-watch credentials
All three watches share the same steel case, measuring 39mm across and 12.75mm thick.
The format is appealingly restrained for a modern diver, especially one offering 300m of water resistance.

A 60-minute unidirectional bezel with a sapphire insert sits up front, paired with a boxed sapphire crystal for a more vintage-leaning silhouette.
The dial is grey with a sunray-brushed finish, while beige hands and hour markers give the watch a warmer, more period-correct tone.
Inside is Favre Leuba’s FLD01 automatic calibre, using La Joux-Perret G100 architecture and delivering a 68-hour power reserve at 4 Hz.

It also keeps the date, which adds everyday practicality without moving the watch away from its dive-watch brief.
Three strap-led personalities
The black calf leather edition is the darkest and most traditional of the set.
Its soja-grain strap has light brown top stitching, while the seconds hand and hourglass logo between 10 and 11 o’clock are finished in black.

The caseback carries a hide motif, linking the watch directly to its leather strap.
The second version uses a brown technical fabric made from recycled material.
Its weave has a distinctive flecked appearance with lighter beige points through the surface, matched with dark brown stitching.

For this edition, the caseback shows Earth as a nod to the recycled and sustainability-minded nature of the material.
The beige rubber version is the most overtly aquatic of the three, helped by a fully waterproof strap that suits the Deep Raider Revival’s 300m rating.
It’s also the sportiest interpretation, with a caseback image of a rubber automobile wheel reinforcing the material theme.
The sandy tone of the rubber works especially well with the aged beige markers, giving this version the cleanest link between strap, dial and diving purpose.

At £2,250, the collaboration lands at the same level as the regular Deep Raider Revival on a steel bracelet, which makes the custom straps, dial accents and engraved casebacks feel like meaningful added character rather than an upsell.
For collectors drawn to compact divers with a heritage feel, this trio offers a more personal way into the Deep Raider Revival without diluting the fundamentals that make the watch appealing in the first place.
