The Citizen Tsuyosa has become one of the more persuasive affordable entries in the integrated-bracelet watch space.
Now the upgraded Tsuyosa 60 Automatic formula has been brought into a 37mm case, giving the collection a more compact option without losing the stronger movement and more polished finishing that define the 60-hour models.
For anyone who liked the Tsuyosa idea but found the 40mm case a little broad, this is likely the version that makes the most sense.

At a glance
- Citizen has introduced the Tsuyosa 60 Automatic in a smaller 37mm case across three references.
- The watch adds a stamped guilloché-style dial, calibre 8310 with 60 hours of power reserve and a multi-link bracelet.
- It joins the permanent collection, priced from EUR 379 for the steel models and EUR 429 for the gold-plated version.
A smaller Tsuyosa with the stronger 60-hour package
The original Tsuyosa built its reputation on accessibility, colour and the appeal of an integrated bracelet at a price that stayed comfortably below much of the competition.
The Tsuyosa 60 Automatic moved the line upward with better dial texture, a more presentable movement and a longer power reserve.
This new 37mm version applies that same package to a case size with broader appeal, especially for smaller wrists and collectors who prefer the proportions of late-1970s and 1980s sports watches.

The case keeps the familiar barrel-shaped profile, raised bezel and mix of brushed surfaces with polished accents.
Its crown remains slightly recessed at 4 o’clock, while the sapphire crystal includes a magnifier over the date at 3 o’clock.
At 11.5mm thick with an approximate 43mm lug-to-lug measurement, the watch should wear noticeably more compact than the 40mm Tsuyosa while retaining the same design language.

Textured dials and three distinct personalities
The most visible upgrade is the dial, which uses an embossed guilloché-style pattern rather than the simpler flat surfaces of earlier Tsuyosa models.
It gives the watch more depth and helps the smaller case feel more considered rather than merely downsized.
The hour markers and hands are familiar Tsuyosa elements, with applied markers and a generous amount of luminous material.

Citizen is offering three versions at launch.
- NK0030-51E pairs a stainless steel case and bracelet with a black dial.
- NK0030-51X keeps the stainless steel case and bracelet but switches to a light green dial.
- NK0032-56A uses a gold-plated case and bracelet with a silver-coloured dial and gold-toned hands and markers.
The black model is the most restrained, the green version leans into the Tsuyosa’s more playful side, and the gold-plated reference gives the compact case a dressier, brighter character.
The calibre 8310 matters more than the name suggests
Inside is Citizen’s automatic calibre 8310, an evolution of the earlier 8210 family used in the first Tsuyosa models.

The key improvement is the 60-hour power reserve, giving the watch an extra 20 hours over the earlier calibre.
That makes it easier to rotate with other watches across a weekend without immediately needing to reset it.
The movement runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour, has 21 jewels and includes hacking seconds for more precise setting.

Citizen lists the accuracy at -20 to +40 seconds per day, which is consistent with the practical, value-led positioning of the watch.
The calibre is also more visually finished than before, with rhodium plating, blue-coloured screws, an openworked rotor and striped decoration on the main bridge visible through the caseback.
A bracelet that better fits the brief
The bracelet has also been revised, moving from a simpler three-link construction to a multi-link, jubilee-style bracelet.

It combines brushed outer links with polished inner links and uses a concealed butterfly folding clasp.
On a watch built around the appeal of an integrated bracelet silhouette, this change is more than cosmetic.
It gives the Tsuyosa 60 Automatic 37mm a more refined wrist presence and helps separate it from the earlier entry-level executions of the collection.
