Minerva’s Unveiled Chronograph has always been a watch for people who want the machinery first and the dial second.

This yellow gold edition leans into that idea with more warmth and formality, placing a brown-coated version of the manufacture chronograph movement inside a substantial 18k gold case.

Limited to 30 pieces, it’s a highly specific proposition, but one that neatly captures the appeal of Minerva’s old-world chronograph craft in a contemporary, architectural format.

The movement’s architecture has been inverted so the regulating organ, going train, bridges and chronograph components are visible from the front.

Minerva’s V-shaped bridge dominates the view and is finished in the same brown tone as the plates.

The going train is yellow-gold-coloured and circular-grained, while the bridges and plates receive hand-finishing including bevelled edges.

The movement runs at 18,000 vibrations per hour, or 2.5Hz, and delivers roughly 50 hours of power reserve.

Operation is classic monopusher chronograph logic, with the crown-integrated pusher used to start, stop and reset the timing sequence.
