Seiko is adding two limited editions to the Presage Classic Series for its 145th anniversary, with the HCC007 and HCC004 taking very different approaches to Japanese craft within approachable mechanical dress watches.
The pair sits in the more refined corner of Presage, a collection that has become Seiko’s primary home for enamel, lacquer, porcelain and other traditional dial techniques.
A cobalt Arita porcelain dial for the HCC007
The more dramatic of the two is the Presage Classic Series Craftsmanship Arita Porcelain Dial HCC007, which introduces a deep cobalt glaze tied to Seiko’s historic “Seiko Blue” tone from the 1960s.

Its dial is made in Arita under the supervision of master craftsman Hiroyuki Hashiguchi, with Toshiaki Kawaguchi and his team handling production.
As with earlier porcelain Presage models, the material is reinforced for watchmaking use, but the challenge here is how the blue glaze interacts with the dial’s radiating relief pattern.
The result is intended to shift subtly under light, giving the dial more depth than a flat lacquered or printed surface would allow.

The stainless steel case measures 39.6mm across and 12.8mm thick, with a super-hard coating, a dual-curved sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective treatment and a sapphire display back.
Water resistance is 30 metres, which keeps the HCC007 firmly in dress-watch territory despite its modern case construction.
The HCC004 brings Presage back to 36mm
The Presage Classic Series HCC004 is the quieter watch of the pair, and likely the one that will appeal to collectors who prefer traditional proportions.

Its 36mm stainless steel case is 12.5mm thick and uses the same super-hard coating, dual-curved sapphire crystal and sapphire caseback format as the porcelain model.
The dial is white with a woven texture inspired by shironeri, the pure white associated with the silk-refining process.
Blue hands and markers add a precise Seiko signature without overwhelming the restrained dial, while the decorated bezel and softly rounded case surfaces give the watch a formal but not fragile presence.

Unlike the HCC007, the HCC004 is rated to 100 metres of water resistance, making it the more practical daily option despite its smaller and dressier character.
The shared 6R51 calibre gives both watches three days of power
Both anniversary models use Seiko’s automatic calibre 6R51, an in-house movement with 24 jewels, a 21,600vph frequency and a 72-hour power reserve.
The choice is important because it keeps the watches slim enough for the Presage brief while giving them the convenience of a full weekend of autonomy.
- HCC007 has a 39.6mm Arita porcelain dial case, 30m water resistance and a cobalt blue radiating dial.
- HCC004 has a 36mm case, 100m water resistance and a white silk-textured dial with blue accents.
- Both watches use the automatic 6R51 calibre, sapphire crystals front and back and leather straps from an LWG-certified tannery.
Limited production and European pricing
The Seiko Presage Classic Series HCC004 will be limited to 2,500 pieces and is scheduled for June 2026 with a price of EUR 1,050.
The Arita porcelain HCC007 follows in July 2026, limited to 1,500 pieces and priced at EUR 1,800.
For collectors, the choice is less about hierarchy than personality, with the HCC007 offering the richer craft statement and the HCC004 delivering the more discreet, compact expression of Presage classicism.
