Lamborghini’s Next Urus SE Looks Ready for a Performante Treatment

Lamborghini is preparing to turn up the volume on the Urus SE, its plug-in hybrid super SUV.

A new teaser shows the rear of a more aggressive Urus, and the details are exactly the kind of hardware you’d expect from a Performante-badged model.

The official reveal is set for July 1, placing Lamborghini’s most practical performance car back in the spotlight with a sharper brief.

Carbon aero points to a more focused Urus

The teaser image keeps most of the SUV hidden, but the visible rear-end treatment says plenty.

An extended carbon gurney flap sits across the tail, paired with a carbon roof spoiler that gives the car a more purposeful silhouette.

Those elements suggest Lamborghini is leaning into the sharper side of the Urus formula rather than simply adding visual trim.

A more aggressive front bumper, revised rear bumper and model-specific wheels are also expected, although Lamborghini has yet to show the full car.

A plug-in hybrid SUV with a harder edge

The standard Urus SE already moved Lamborghini’s SUV into plug-in hybrid territory, combining a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with electric assistance.

In that form, the system produces 789 hp at 6,000 rpm and 701 lb-ft of torque from 1,750 to 5,750 rpm.

For a Performante-style version, the interesting question is how far Lamborghini goes beyond raw output.

A modest power increase is possible, but the more meaningful changes could come from suspension tuning, chassis response and aerodynamic balance.

The previous Performante approach has always been less about comfort and more about extracting a more direct, urgent feel from the car.

Cabin changes may be subtle

The interior is expected to stay broadly familiar to the Urus SE, which makes sense for a model that still needs to function as a daily-use Lamborghini.

Any changes are more likely to come through software, displays, performance pages or trim details rather than a full cabin overhaul.

That balance is central to the Urus formula.

It has to feel theatrical enough for a Lamborghini buyer, but usable enough to justify its existence as the brand’s high-riding, four-door performance machine.
