Europe’s late-summer calendar is no longer just about finding a quieter beach or a last table by the water.
This season, several luxury hotels are using fashion and design partnerships to give travellers a reason to keep moving through September, whether that means a crystal-detailed courtyard in Milan, a dressed-up pool club in Mallorca or a couture-inflected terrace in Capri.
The best of these pop-ups work because they don’t feel like shop windows dropped into hotels.

At a glance
- Leading European hotels are hosting limited-run fashion and design pop-ups for late-summer travel.
- Highlights include Swarovski at Palazzo Cordusio, Alberta Ferretti at Hotel de Mar, Dioriviera at Jumeirah Capri Palace and Lacoste at ME Lisbon.
- The partnerships focus on immersive settings, bespoke hospitality details and seasonal escapes across Milan, Mallorca, Capri and Lisbon.
Milan’s crystal courtyard at Palazzo Cordusio
At Palazzo Cordusio Gran Meliá, Giardino Cordusio has been given a Swarovski treatment that feels tailored to Milan rather than simply decorated for the season.
The hotel’s courtyard bistro and cocktail bar now carries a pastel palette, custom textiles, colourful seating and crystal accents, turning the space into a polished urban pause between shopping, aperitivo and dinner.
The collaboration is strongest in the smaller details.

A dedicated photo setting gives the project its social moment, while the menu folds Swarovski into the experience through the Crystal Clear cocktail, made with Brugal Rum, passion fruit, Martini Bianco, chrysanthemum cordial and vanilla.
It’s served over a Swarovski-embossed diamond-cut ice cube, a detail that could feel excessive elsewhere but makes sense in a city that understands display.
Petite pâtisserie served on Rosenthal for Swarovski porcelain completes the courtyard’s shift from hotel bar to late-summer destination.

Mallorca’s Alberta Ferretti pool club returns to Hotel de Mar
On Mallorca’s coastline, Hotel de Mar Gran Meliá has revived its partnership with Alberta Ferretti for another summer season at The Bombón Pool Club.
The setting already has local mythology behind it, with Hotel de Mar long nicknamed “El Chocolate” by Mallorcans.
Ferretti’s contribution leans into that sense of place rather than competing with it.

Her signature tie-dye appears across the pool area in blue tones, while warmer beige motifs shape the beach and pool bar.
The look continues across cabanas, umbrellas, loungers and the hotel’s private sandy cove, which gives the whole property a coherent holiday language without losing the ease of a Mediterranean hotel.
For guests who prefer their summer escapes with a strong visual identity, this is the kind of collaboration that turns a pool day into a mood board.

Dioriviera brings couture energy to Capri
Dioriviera’s return to Jumeirah Capri Palace for 2026 places the house on the terrace of Il Riccio, the hotel’s Mediterranean restaurant and beach club above the Anacapri coastline.
The pop-up functions as a temporary boutique, but its setting is doing as much work as the clothes.
This edition carries extra interest because it presents Jonathan Anderson’s first beach collection since his appointment as creative director last year.

The scenography draws from Capri’s maritime vocabulary, with bows, stripes and gozzo motifs inspired by the traditional Italian fishing boat.
Dior-designed sun loungers, parasols, striped cabanas and graphic details extend the world beyond retail, while signature cocktails keep the terrace rooted in hospitality.
The result is a polished meeting of beach club, boutique and island theatre.

Lacoste gives ME Lisbon a rooftop uniform
In Lisbon, Lacoste has taken over Attiko Rooftop Pool Bar at the 5-star ME Lisbon, turning the sky-high venue into a green-and-terracotta setting.
The colour story is direct and effective, pairing Lacoste green with clay-court terracotta in a nod to the brand’s tennis heritage.
Custom furniture, parasols, decorative crocodiles and branded towels carry the concept through the rooftop without overcomplicating it.

The partnership also reaches beyond the pool deck.
ME Lisbon is the first hotel in the ME by Meliá portfolio to introduce Lacoste uniforms for its team, making the collaboration part of the service atmosphere rather than a decorative layer.
It’s a smart fit for a city where rooftop culture, warm evenings and sharp casual style already overlap naturally.
Together, these hotel pop-ups show how luxury hospitality is changing the rhythm of European summer.
The appeal isn’t only the brand name on the parasol or the cocktail glass, but the chance to experience a familiar destination through a more temporary, more designed lens before the season finally gives way.
