Bravur has introduced the Grand Tour Sprinter, a new automatic chronograph in the Swedish brand’s cycling-focused watch series. Unlike earlier Grand Tour models that have taken cues from specific races, this release is built around the role of the sprinter: the rider protected until the closing moments, then launched toward the finish in a carefully timed final attack.

A cycling watch focused on the sprinter’s role

Bravur has carved out a distinct niche with watches inspired by professional cycling. Previous models in the Grand Tour line have often used race-specific color palettes and references, drawing from the visual language of major cycling events.

The Grand Tour Sprinter takes a different route. Rather than referencing one race, it focuses on a key tactical concept in competitive cycling. In a long race, the sprinter is typically shielded by teammates until the decisive final stretch. Near the end, the team works to position that rider for a break, often around the 1 kilometer-to-go point.

That timing is central to the watch’s theme, and Bravur has translated it through both visual details and the chronograph layout.

Dial details tied to professional cycling

The Sprinter continues several design elements seen across Bravur’s cycling chronographs. The outer dial ring has a texture intended to evoke tarmac, while the minute track uses a finish-line-inspired motif familiar from professional cycling.

One returning detail is the inverted 13, a reference to the cycling superstition associated with riders assigned bib number 13. On this model, that detail appears at 1 o’clock.

The 12 o’clock marker is shaped like the flamme rouge, the red triangular flag that signals 1 kilometer remaining in a race. That choice reinforces the watch’s emphasis on the sprinter’s final effort, where positioning and timing become especially important.

A 15-minute counter for interval timing

The most functional departure from a conventional chronograph layout is found at 3 o’clock. Instead of a standard 30-minute counter, Bravur has fitted the Grand Tour Sprinter with a 15-minute totalizer.

According to Bravur, the shorter counter makes the watch better suited to training use, particularly for timing intervals. It is a subtle change, but one that connects the chronograph function more closely to athletic preparation rather than simply borrowing cycling aesthetics.

Sellita automatic movement and 38.2mm steel case

Inside the Grand Tour Sprinter is the Sellita SW511 automatic chronograph movement. Bravur has fitted it with a custom rotor, and the movement offers more than 60 hours of power reserve when fully wound.

The stainless steel case measures 38.2mm in diameter and is paired with a sapphire crystal. A steel bezel with a purple aluminum inlay complements the purple tones used on the dial.

Strap options, pricing and availability

Bravur is offering the Grand Tour Sprinter with a choice of a black rubber strap, a black perforated leather strap or a matching steel bracelet. As part of the launch offer, customers who pre-order will receive the bracelet at no additional cost, though it will ship separately at a later date.

The Bravur Grand Tour Sprinter is available for pre-order now, with deliveries expected to begin in June. Pricing is set at $2,550.
