Kollokium’s Projekt 01 has always looked more like an object pulled from an industrial design studio than a conventional independent watch.
The new Variant H sharpens that personality while bringing the debut model’s first chapter to a close, combining the black-dial mood of early editions with the more abstract three-dimensional language introduced later in the series.
Its defining move is light, with the most extensive use of the brand’s luminous Lichtblock material yet.

At a glance
- Kollokium Projekt 01 Variant H is the final version of the brand’s debut Projekt 01 design.
- The black dial uses 488 hand-applied Lichtblock pins with Super-LumiNova BGW9 for a cyan-blue glow.
- Production is limited to 399 pieces, priced at CHF 3,888.88 excluding VAT and available from September 16, 2026.
A final Projekt 01 with maximum lume
Variant H feels like a deliberate closing statement rather than another colourway.
It returns to a matte-black dial treatment, but its layout follows the more sculptural architecture seen on Variant F, where the dial reads less like a flat display and more like a miniature field of markers.
Across that surface are 488 individually hand-applied cylindrical pins made from Kollokium’s proprietary Lichtblock ceramic-resin hybrid.

For this edition, the material incorporates Super-LumiNova BGW9, giving the pins a vivid cyan-blue emission in low light.
The hour and minute hands also carry Lichtblock elements, while the blue seconds hand glows in the dark as well.
In daylight, the cream-white appearance of the pins plays against the black dial with a graphic, almost architectural contrast.

After dark, the watch becomes a different object, closer to a luminous instrument than a traditional three-hander.
The raw die-cast case remains the point
The Projekt 01 case is one of the reasons Kollokium gained attention so quickly.
Rather than leaning on the usual polished bevels or brushed case flanks, the 316L stainless steel case is produced through die casting, leaving behind a raw, slightly irregular surface.

It isn’t matte in the conventional sense, and it isn’t frosted either.
That industrial texture gives the watch much of its identity, particularly because it sits in contrast to the precision of the dial construction.
The two-part case uses a barrel-shaped caseback with angular lugs inspired by cruciform screwdrivers.

Above that base, the case middle contains the movement inside a steel container, while a valve-shaped crown reinforces the mechanical-tool character.
As with Variant F, Kollokium has adjusted the case and sapphire crystal to make room for the taller luminous hands.
The movement now sits slightly lower in the case, helping keep the proportions under control at 11.95mm thick including the cylindrical sapphire crystal.

On paper, the case measures 40mm in diameter and 7mm thick without the crystal, with 50 metres of water resistance.
La Joux-Perret inside, textile outside
Inside the Projekt 01 Variant H is the La Joux-Perret G101 automatic calibre, positioned as an alternative to the ETA 2824.
The movement is hidden behind a closed caseback, which feels appropriate for a watch whose visual drama is concentrated on the case surface and dial architecture.

The G101 runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers approximately 68 hours of power reserve.
That longer reserve gives the watch a practical edge for owners who rotate through several pieces during the week.
Kollokium pairs Variant H with a cream-white elastic textile single-piece strap that echoes the pale daytime tone of the Lichtblock pins.

A black strap is also included, and both use the brand’s hook fastening system with stitched loops for adjustment.

As a send-off for Projekt 01, Variant H works because it doesn’t try to soften the watch’s oddness.
It leans further into texture, glow and industrial tension, making it the most emphatic expression yet of the design that introduced Kollokium to the independent watch crowd.
