Lebois & Co. Opens Its Atelier Series With Clous de Paris and Stroopwafel Dials

Lebois & Co. is giving its Heritage Small Seconds a more expressive turn with the formal launch of its Atelier series.

The first two watches in the line, the Heritage Small Seconds Clous de Paris and Heritage Small Seconds Stroopwafel®, put the emphasis firmly on dial craft rather than case theatrics.

It’s a smart move for a brand best known for traditional proportions and restrained vintage cues, offering collectors something more characterful without abandoning the core Lebois & Co. language.

A dial-led Atelier debut

The Atelier series is positioned as a place for Lebois & Co. to work with outside specialists and explore more elaborate execution than its regular collection typically allows.

For this opening pair, the collaborator is GT Cadrans, an independent dial specialist whose work gives both watches their identity.

The Heritage Small Seconds Clous de Paris takes the more classical route, using a hobnail guilloché pattern produced by diamond cutting.

That surface is finished with a 24k rose-gold galvanic treatment, giving the dial a warm metallic tone that plays against the silver small seconds register and Breguet-style Arabic numerals.

The effect is formal, decorative and unmistakably traditional, but it has enough texture to avoid feeling flat or nostalgic for nostalgia’s sake.

The Dutch sweetness of Stroopwafel®

The second watch brings a more playful national reference into the same Heritage Small Seconds framework.

The Stroopwafel® dial takes its cue from the Dutch caramel waffle, a fitting touch for a watchmaker with roots in the Netherlands.

Rather than simply applying a colour, Lebois & Co. and GT Cadrans use laser engraving to create the waffle-like pattern across the dial.

A sand-blasted golden-brown finish then gives the surface its caramel tone, while the same small seconds layout and Arabic markers keep the model visually aligned with the Clous de Paris edition.

It’s the more unusual of the two and likely the one collectors will remember first, precisely because it ties craft technique to a cultural detail rather than another familiar dress-watch motif.

Compact steel cases and chronometer movements

Both Atelier models use the Heritage Small Seconds case in stainless steel, measuring 37.8mm across and 10.5mm thick.

The case combines brushed and polished surfaces, keeping the watch compact and period-leaning without feeling overly delicate.

Inside is the Lebois & Co. LC-350 automatic calibre, a COSC-certified chronometer movement derived from the Sellita SW360-1.

It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 56-hour power reserve, with hours, minutes and small seconds as the core functions.

Production windows and collector extras

The Clous de Paris and Stroopwafel® are not limited editions in the numbered sense.

Instead, Lebois & Co. will make them purchasable only during limited production windows, which should keep supply controlled without framing the watches as one-time rarities.

The first window runs from July 27 to August 9.

Buyers during the window will receive an Atelier Discovery Set connected to the new line, while collectors who pre-register before July 27 will also receive an inauguration gift.
