Hublot Sends the Big Bang Into Pastel Ceramic

Hublot has never treated ceramic as a quiet material, and its latest Big Bang editions push that point in a softer direction.

The Big Bang Summer Multi-colored Ceramic models introduce a pastel mix of pink, mint green and sky blue across two limited watches, pairing the brand’s familiar case architecture with in-house chronograph and tourbillon mechanics.

It’s playful at first glance, but the technical ambition sits exactly where Hublot likes it.

    At a glance

    • Hublot has introduced two Big Bang Summer Multi-colored Ceramic limited editions in a pastel ceramic palette.
    • The 42mm model uses the HUB1280 integrated flyback chronograph, while the 44mm version houses the HUB6035 automatic tourbillon.
    • Production is limited to 200 pieces for the chronograph and 10 pieces for the tourbillon.

Pastel ceramic becomes the main event

The headline here isn’t simply that Hublot has made another colorful Big Bang.

It’s that the brand has moved its ceramic work into a pastel register for the first time, using pink, mint green and sky blue to create a gentler kind of visual impact than the saturated tones usually associated with the collection.

The cases combine polished and microbead-finished pink and mint green ceramic, while a sky-blue ceramic bezel and case back bring the palette around the full watch.

That level of color integration matters, because Hublot’s Big Bang design leaves very little room for half measures.

The ceramic itself remains part of the technical story, with Hublot positioning the material around high scratch resistance, lasting luster and a Vickers hardness claimed to sit far beyond traditional ceramic.

In practical terms, the watches are meant to deliver bright color without treating the case as a fragile decorative surface.

    Chronograph energy or tourbillon theatre

The 42mm Big Bang Summer Multi-colored Ceramic is the more wearable and more broadly available of the pair, limited to 200 pieces.

Its matte dial works through mint and candy-toned shades, keeping the look light while the architecture remains unmistakably Big Bang.

Inside is the HUB1280, Hublot’s in-house integrated flyback chronograph with a column wheel.

The movement runs at 4Hz, uses 354 components and offers a 72-hour power reserve, making it the practical sport-watch expression of this pastel ceramic idea.

The 44mm version takes the same color concept into a far more mechanical direction.

Limited to just 10 pieces, it uses a thick transparent pink sapphire crystal that opens up the construction and deepens the visual effect from the front.

The HUB6035 automatic tourbillon is fitted with a micro-rotor visible on the dial side, a layout that suits Hublot’s preference for turning mechanics into part of the design language.

It runs at 3Hz, comprises 293 components and matches the chronograph with a 72-hour power reserve.

    Straps and wearability

Both watches come with three interchangeable white striped rubber straps, fitted through Hublot’s One-Click system.

That choice keeps the watches anchored in summer-sport territory rather than making the pastel ceramic feel precious.

The white rubber also gives the pink, mint and blue ceramic more space to stand out, which is important when the case itself is the point of the watch.

The Big Bang Summer Multi-colored Ceramic editions are at their best when viewed as Hublot doing what it does most naturally, turning advanced materials into a visible design statement.

For collectors drawn to color, ceramic innovation and open mechanical character, these two watches offer very different ways into the same pastel world.
