Hennessey Maximus Turns the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT Into a 200 MPH Pickup

There are fast pickups, and then there’s Hennessey’s Maximus.

Built from the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT, this dual-cab truck pushes the idea of a performance pickup into territory normally reserved for supercars. With 1,032 hp and a claimed 200 mph top speed, it’s a deliberately outrageous answer to a question few manufacturers would dare to ask.

The Maximus starts with the already potent Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT and adds a serious Hennessey power package.

Its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 has been reworked with a high-capacity intercooler, a larger intake tube and proprietary engine calibration.

The result is 1,032 hp and 947 lb-ft of torque, increases of 255 hp and 267 lb-ft over the standard Rumble Bee SRT.

That output gives the truck some startling numbers for something with four doors and a pickup bed.

Hennessey claims 0-60 mph in 3 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 10.9 seconds and a top speed of 200 mph.

Lowered stance and aero with a purpose

The Maximus isn’t trying to hide its intent.

Hennessey fits 22-inch wheels and a lowered air suspension setup, giving the truck a more planted stance than the standard Ram.

The VenomAero body kit pushes the look further, adding a more aggressive front-to-rear treatment and a rear spoiler.

That spoiler is removable, which matters because Hennessey says taking it off helps reduce drag and allows the truck to achieve its advertised 200 mph top speed.

It’s a small but telling detail, and one that separates the Maximus from the usual appearance-led performance truck builds.

A headline truck for the horsepower era

The Maximus was shown at SRT Performance Engineering Day in Detroit, a fitting stage for something this unapologetically American in concept.

It sits in the same cultural lane as modern high-output muscle cars and hyper-power SUVs, but the dual-cab pickup format gives it a different kind of absurdity.

For some buyers, that’s exactly the appeal.

This isn’t a discreet tuning package or a mild factory-style upgrade. It’s a four-figure-horsepower pickup with aero, stance and numbers designed to dominate conversations before the engine even starts.
