Glashütte Original has given its SeaQ dive watch a colder, brighter turn with the new “Northern Tide” limited editions for North America.
The pair takes the familiar SeaQ and SeaQ Panorama Date formats and adds a turquoise dégradé dial that shifts to black at the outer edge.
It’s a regional release with serious dive-watch credentials rather than a cosmetic one-off, with both models retaining their certified cases, in-house automatic movements and practical bracelet-and-strap package.

A turquoise dial with a darker edge
The defining change is the dial, finished in matte turquoise lacquer with a black dégradé treatment around the perimeter.
It gives the SeaQ a cooler, more coastal personality without interfering with the watch’s strong instrument-watch layout.
Applied rhodium-plated numerals and indices are filled with Super-LumiNova, as are the matching hour and minute hands.
Small luminous hour markers add another layer of visibility, keeping the dial functional even as the colour moves the design into more expressive territory.
The standard SeaQ places its date window at 3 o’clock with a white disc and black numerals.
The SeaQ Panorama Date uses Glashütte Original’s large date display at 4 o’clock, here with a black disc and white print.
Two certified SeaQ formats for different wrists
The smaller SeaQ measures 39.5mm across and keeps its 200m water-resistance, a size that remains one of the collection’s most wearable modern dive-watch options.
The SeaQ Panorama Date is larger at 43.2mm and raises the water-resistance rating to 300m.
Both watches use stainless steel cases with screw-down crowns, sapphire crystals and unidirectional rotating bezels fitted with black ceramic inserts.
They also retain sapphire casebacks, which is notable for a certified dive watch and useful for anyone who wants to see Glashütte finishing rather than a closed steel back.
As with the wider SeaQ line, the Northern Tide editions meet DIN 8306 and ISO 6425 dive-watch standards.
In-house calibres with very different reserves
The 39.5mm SeaQ runs on the manufacture Calibre 39-11, an automatic movement with hours, minutes, seconds, date and a 40-hour power reserve.
The larger SeaQ Panorama Date uses the in-house Calibre 36-13, which delivers the brand’s signature large date and a substantially longer 100-hour power reserve.
Both movements beat at 4Hz and are assembled, decorated and regulated by hand.
The finishing is visible through the sapphire caseback, adding a more traditional Glashütte character to watches that are otherwise built around robust diving specifications.
North American availability
Glashütte Original will offer the SeaQ “Northern Tide” and SeaQ Panorama Date “Northern Tide” exclusively through its boutiques and authorised retailers in the United States, Canada and Mexico from July 2026.
Each version is limited to 100 pieces.
Every watch is delivered with a stainless steel bracelet featuring the brand’s fine-adjustment clasp and an additional black synthetic strap.
