Geely’s European ambitions are about to get a much more rugged edge.
The Battleship 700, a large plug-in hybrid SUV known in China as the Galaxy Zhanjian 700, has been confirmed for Europe following its appearance at the 2026 Paris Auto Show.
It’s scheduled to arrive in the second half of 2027, bringing serious dimensions, bluff off-road styling and power outputs that reach well beyond the usual family SUV brief.

At a glance
- Geely will bring the Battleship 700 plug-in hybrid SUV to Europe in the second half of 2027.
- The SUV combines a boxy off-road body with up to 233 mm of ground clearance and multiple hybrid powertrain options.
- Chinese pricing ranges from 189,800 to 379,800 yuan, while European pricing has not yet been announced.
A full-size SUV with proper trail intent
The Battleship 700 doesn’t try to disguise its mission with soft crossover cues.
Its shape is upright and squared-off, with a tall bonnet, rectangular headlights and a rear-mounted full-size spare wheel on a swing-out tailgate.
At 5,085 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,912 mm tall, it lands firmly in large SUV territory.

Geely has also given it numbers that matter away from the road, including 233 mm of ground clearance, a 30-degree approach angle and a 31-degree departure angle.
That makes the Battleship 700 more than just a styling exercise, at least on paper.
For European buyers used to seeing Chinese brands arrive with urban-focused electric crossovers, this is a noticeably different play.

Three plug-in hybrid setups, one very big headline figure
The powertrain range starts with a front-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid version pairing a 1.5-litre engine with an electric motor.
Even that entry configuration is hardly modest, producing 469 hp and 605 Nm of torque.
An all-wheel-drive version adds two electric motors at the rear, taking total output to 925 hp.

The flagship configuration goes further still, combining a 2.0-litre engine with three electric motors for 1,113 hp and 1,330 Nm of torque.
Those figures put the Battleship 700 into unusually powerful territory for a ladder-style, adventure-minded SUV, even if Geely has not yet detailed European range, battery capacity or charging specifications.
The model is also known internally as KO11, though its European naming has been presented as Battleship 700.

Europe gets a new kind of Geely flagship
The Battleship 700’s European timing places it in the market during the second half of 2027, when the large electrified SUV segment is expected to be even more competitive.
Geely has not announced European prices, trim structure or country-by-country availability.
In China, the model is priced from 189,800 to 379,800 yuan, roughly 28,360 to 56,755 US dollars at current conversion values.

That domestic pricing gives an indication of where the model sits at home, but Europe will bring different taxes, equipment requirements and market positioning.
What’s clear is that Geely is not only chasing compact EV volume in Europe.
With the Battleship 700, it’s preparing to enter a more character-led corner of the SUV market, where presence, capability and headline power matter as much as efficiency.

The Battleship 700 won’t be for buyers looking for subtlety, and that may be its strength.
If Geely can translate the SUV’s bold specification into a convincing European ownership package, it could become one of the more intriguing arrivals in the next wave of Chinese plug-in hybrid models.
