Land Rover’s electric Range Rover GT is beginning to look less theoretical and more like a serious development programme.
A camouflaged prototype has been seen testing at the Nürburgring, giving an early look at the shape, stance and packaging of what could become one of the brand’s most significant electric luxury SUVs.
The disguise is doing plenty of work, but the proportions already suggest a large, road-focused Range Rover with a lower attitude than the brand’s traditional upright flagships.

Nürburgring testing hints at a performance brief
The Nürburgring setting is notable because it suggests Land Rover is not treating the electric Range Rover GT purely as a comfort-led flagship.
The prototype sits on large black five-spoke alloy wheels, with sizeable brakes visible behind them.
That hardware, combined with the lower stance, points to a vehicle being developed with high-speed stability, braking confidence and body control in mind.
It’s still too early to attach performance figures or range claims to the model, but the testing environment makes clear that dynamics are part of the brief.
