Denza has used the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026 to put a very serious marker down in the electric hypercar world.
The new Denza Z arrives as a tri-motor, all-electric performance car with numbers that place it directly in the conversation with the quickest road-going machines on the planet.
It’s also a clear signal that China’s high-performance EV ambitions are no longer limited to rapid sedans and SUVs.

At a glance
- Denza has revealed the all-electric Z hypercar at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026.
- The tri-motor setup produces 1,582 hp and 915 lb-ft, with the Racing variant claiming a 0–62 mph time of 1.96 seconds.
- A 76 kWh LFP battery is rated for up to 254 miles and supports ultra-fast charging from 10 to 97 percent in around nine minutes.
Tri-motor power with hypercar intent
The standard Denza Z is built around a tri-motor electric drivetrain producing 1,582 hp and 915 lb-ft of torque.
That output gives the Coupe a claimed 0–62 mph time of 2.25 seconds, while the open-top Spider is said to be only slightly behind.
At the sharper end of the range sits the Denza Z Racing, a more focused version fitted with a large rear wing and semi-slick tyres.

Denza claims the Racing variant can reach 62 mph in 1.96 seconds, which puts it into territory normally reserved for the most extreme electric hypercars.
Top speed is listed at 186 mph for the Coupe and Spider, while the Racing stretches that figure to 217 mph.
Chassis tech and battery packaging
The Denza Z uses magnetorheological suspension, allowing the dampers to react in milliseconds as conditions and loads change.

That kind of active control matters in a car with this much torque, particularly when the brief includes both road use and high-speed dynamic work.
The battery cells are integrated directly into the chassis, a layout intended to add structural rigidity rather than simply carrying the pack as a separate component.
Denza has specified a 76 kWh LFP battery pack, with a claimed driving range of up to 254 miles.

The charging claim is equally eye-catching, with the brand’s ultra-fast Flash charging said to take the battery from 10 to 97 percent in around nine minutes.
Coupe, Spider and a more aggressive Racing variant
The Z line will not be a single-body-style statement piece.
Denza has shown the car as a Coupe, an open-top Spider and a Racing variant with a more aggressive aerodynamic and tyre package.

The Spider brings the open-air drama without giving away much in straight-line performance, while the Racing version appears aimed at buyers who want the most extreme expression of the platform.
Denza is also working on a Special Edition with even more ambitious targets, including more than 1,973 hp and a sub-1.7-second 0–62 mph sprint.
Those figures are still targets rather than customer-ready numbers, but they show how far Denza intends to push the Z beyond its already serious launch specification.
