Chronoswiss has always been at its most convincing when it leans into character, mechanics and craft at the same time.
The new Delphis Glacier does exactly that, taking one of the brand’s defining display formats and giving it a cold, sharply textured dial treatment inspired by Swiss ice fields.
It’s not a quiet watch, but the Delphis has never really been about disappearing under a cuff.

A titanium Delphis with classic Chronoswiss architecture
The Delphis Glacier sits in a 42mm Grade 5 titanium case, giving the watch a technical footing that suits the frozen landscape theme.
Chronoswiss keeps the familiar architecture intact, including the fluted caseband, polished bezel and oversized onion crown.
The case is more involved than it first appears, with a 17-part construction and a height of 14.5mm.
A cambered sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating covers the dial, while a sapphire caseback opens the view to the movement.
Water resistance is rated to 100 metres, a useful figure for a watch with such an elaborate display and decorative dial work.
Glacial guilloché gives the dial its identity
The dial is where the Delphis Glacier earns its name.
The upper section is finished in silver galvanic tones and decorated with hand-guilloché patterns that echo cracked ice and frozen surfaces.
At 6 o’clock, the small seconds subdial shifts the mood with a deep blue CVD finish, also decorated by hand at the Chronoswiss Atelier in Lucerne.
The contrast between the silver upper dial and blue lower section gives the watch a strong visual split without obscuring the display.
Skeletonised minutes and seconds hands help keep the reading clear against the layered textures.
The Delphis display remains the main event
The Delphis line dates back to 1996, and its display remains one of Chronoswiss’ most recognisable contributions to modern independent watchmaking.
At 12 o’clock, the hour appears digitally and jumps instantaneously as the hour changes.
A central hand tracks the minutes across a retrograde arc, then snaps back to its starting point at the top of the hour.
Small seconds at 6 o’clock complete the layout, giving the dial a regulator-like structure with more theatrical movement than a conventional three-hand watch.
The arrangement was introduced under Chronoswiss founder Gerd-Rüdiger Lang and continues to define the Delphis collection decades later.
