Breitling has given the Chronomat one of its broadest updates in years, adding 22 new references across the Chronomat B01 42, Chronomat Automatic B31 40, and Chronomat Automatic 36.
The release does not reinvent the collection so much as sharpen it, with slimmer cases, cleaner dials, fresh material combinations, and a wider spread of sizes for Breitling’s signature integrated-bracelet sports watch.
A slimmer Chronomat B01 42 chronograph
The Chronomat B01 42 remains the anchor of the lineup, but Breitling has made meaningful changes to how the chronograph wears.

Case thickness drops from 15.1mm to 13.77mm, while the crown guards have been reduced for a less bulky profile on the wrist.
The dial also gets a cleaner treatment, with the 1/100 scale removed from the rehaut, allowing the chronograph layout to feel less crowded.
Inside is the COSC-certified Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, the brand’s in-house automatic chronograph movement with approximately 70 hours of power reserve.

Stainless steel versions are offered with white, blue, or green dials, each paired with contrasting black chronograph counters.
The range also includes a two-tone steel and red gold model with an anthracite dial, a full red gold version with a brown dial, and a stainless steel and platinum edition with an ice-blue dial.
The 40mm Chronomat gets the B31 movement
The Chronomat Automatic B31 40 introduces a cleaner three-hand expression of the collection in a versatile 40mm case.

Its key technical update is the COSC-certified Breitling Manufacture Caliber B31, a movement introduced in 2025 with a stated 78-hour power reserve.
The standard steel models come on the Rouleaux bracelet with white, blue, or green dial options, keeping the familiar Chronomat character in a simpler daily-wear format.
Breitling also adds stainless steel and platinum versions with ice-blue dials, available on either a bracelet or rubber strap.

A broader 36mm Chronomat lineup
The Chronomat Automatic 36 gives the family its smallest and slimmest new format, with a 36mm case measuring 9.68mm thick.
These models use the COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 10, a Sellita-based automatic movement offering approximately 42 hours of power reserve.
The 36mm selection is the most style-driven part of the release, spanning stainless steel and two-tone steel and red gold references.
Options include mother-of-pearl dials, lab-grown diamond-set bezels, and two-tone configurations with details such as brown dials and lab-grown diamond markers.
Pricing and availability
The new Breitling Chronomat models are available now, with prices running from $5,950 to $49,900 depending on size, material, movement, and configuration.
It is a wide-ranging refresh aimed at several different Chronomat buyers, from those who want a leaner B01 chronograph to collectors after the newer B31 movement or a more compact 36mm automatic with jewelry-level finishing options.
