Bell & Ross has given the BR-05 Chrono one of its clearest sporting identities yet.
The new BR-05 Chrono Snow Rocket takes its cues from speed skiing rather than motorsport, using a white and red palette that feels direct, legible and unusually fresh for the integrated-bracelet chronograph space.
It also brings a few meaningful dial changes, including ski-inspired hands, italic red numerals and a repositioned date at 6 o’clock.

At a glance
- Bell & Ross has introduced the BR-05 Chrono Snow Rocket as a 250-piece limited edition inspired by speed skiing.
- The watch pairs a white dial with red details, ski-shaped hour and minute hands, twin chronograph counters and an inner tachymeter scale.
- It is priced at EUR 6,900 on a red rubber strap or EUR 7,400 on a stainless-steel bracelet.
A BR-05 Chrono with alpine speed in mind
The BR-05 Chrono has taken on several identities since its 2020 introduction, from the Green Steel to editions linked with Alpine Formula One and the Patrouille de France.
The Snow Rocket moves the story onto snow, paying tribute to French speed skier Simon Billy, who set a 255.50km/h world record in 2023.
Bell & Ross connects the watch’s red accents to Billy’s competition suit, while the white dial clearly plays into the environment of the sport.

That could have become a simple colour exercise, but the Snow Rocket is more distinctive than a standard dial swap.
White, red and a more balanced dial
The most immediate change is the use of red italicised numerals rather than the familiar Arabic numerals at 12 and 6 seen on many BR-05 Chrono models.
The hour and minute hands are also new, with elongated forms inspired by competition skis instead of the metal skeletonised hands used on regular versions.

It’s a small design decision that makes the theme visible without turning the watch into a novelty piece.
The dial keeps the established chronograph arrangement, with small seconds at 9 o’clock and a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock.
The chronograph seconds hand works with the inner tachymeter scale, reinforcing the watch’s speed-focused character.

The date has moved to 6 o’clock, a cleaner position than the between-4-and-5 placement used on other BR-05 Chrono models.
With the two counters flanking the centre and the date anchored at the bottom, the Snow Rocket has a more symmetrical look despite the energetic colour scheme.
Case, movement and skier detail
The 42mm steel case measures 14.25mm thick and uses the BR-05’s mix of satin-finished and polished surfaces.

It also has a screw-down crown and 100 metres of water resistance, which gives the watch a practical sports-watch foundation beneath the limited-edition treatment.
Inside is the automatic BR-CAL.326 chronograph movement, based on the Sellita SW510 and following the Valjoux 7750 architecture.
That movement platform was introduced to the BR-05 Chrono line with the Green Steel version, replacing the earlier modular ETA 2894-2-based arrangement.

The BR-CAL.326 runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 60-hour power reserve.
A sapphire caseback reveals a red silhouette of a speed skier, a discreet nod to Billy and the discipline behind the watch.

Rubber strap or steel bracelet
The grooved red rubber strap gives the Snow Rocket its most expressive personality, pushing the white and red concept into full view.
The stainless-steel bracelet tones things down and makes the watch feel closer to the broader BR-05 family.
That choice will likely define the appeal for many collectors, because this is a watch that can either lean hard into its ski inspiration or wear as a cleaner steel sports chronograph with a vivid dial.
Limited to 250 pieces, the BR-05 Chrono Snow Rocket is one of the more visually specific BR-05 Chrono editions, and it works because its sporting reference is translated through proportion, colour and dial architecture rather than decoration alone.
