Zenith’s latest Chronomaster Revival A384 looks back across the Atlantic with a distinctly American frame of reference.
Created for the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Liberty II Edition reworks one of Zenith’s defining late-1960s chronographs with graphic cues drawn from the U.S. flag and a historical link to the brand’s own manufacture story.
It’s a commemorative watch, but the more interesting part is how Zenith has kept the A384’s proportions and movement lineage close to the original rather than turning the concept into a decorative exercise.

The Chronomaster Revival A384 remains one of Zenith’s most recognisable shapes, and this edition preserves the delicately tonneau-shaped 37mm case that ties it directly to the 1969 model.
That restraint matters, because the dial is where the Liberty II Edition does most of its storytelling.
The white lacquered surface is paired with three blue sub-dials, while the central chronograph hand and dial accents nod to the colours of the U.S. flag.
Most distinctive are the thirteen red and white stripes, a direct reference to the founding colonies.
Zenith also highlights the “250” on the tachymeter scale and the number “4” in the date display in the same vermilion tone, adding smaller commemorative details without overwhelming the dial.
The El Primero link remains central
Inside the watch is the El Primero 400 automatic calibre, a direct descendant of the movement Zenith launched in 1969.
That movement was the first integrated high-frequency automatic chronograph, and it remains central to the modern Chronomaster identity.
Operating at 5Hz, the calibre allows chronograph readings to the nearest tenth of a second and offers approximately 50 hours of power reserve.
The movement can be seen through the case back, which is engraved with “America 250th Anniversary”.
Two limited runs for the U.S. market
Zenith is producing the Liberty II Edition in two versions, each aimed squarely at the U.S. market.
The stainless steel edition is limited to 250 pieces, matching the anniversary theme in a clear and collectible way.
A second version in forged carbon is far more restricted, with production capped at just 25 pieces.
The split gives the watch two personalities, with steel leaning into the vintage chronograph character of the A384 and forged carbon giving the same design a more contemporary edge.
