The Venezianico Redentore Levius takes a deliberately unusual route for a modern dress watch.
Instead of leaning on precious metal weight or familiar steel polish, it uses Grade 5 titanium to make the watch almost disappear on the wrist, then brings the visual drama back through a dial cut by hand on antique machinery.
At 48 grams including the strap, it’s a reminder that lightness doesn’t have to mean austerity.

- It is priced at €4,750, with availability through a timed pre-order and the first 100 pieces individually numbered.
Titanium reshapes the Redentore case
Titanium is now common in sports watches, but it’s still an unconventional choice for a traditionally sized dress watch.
That tension is the Redentore Levius’ strongest first impression.
The case measures 38mm across, 44.2mm lug to lug and 8.9mm thick, keeping the proportions restrained and formal.

Venezianico uses Grade 5 titanium for the case, bezel and buckle, with brushed and polished surfaces used to preserve the sharper character of the Redentore line.
The case alone weighs 12.9 grams, while the complete watch comes in at 48 grams on its Italian-made leather strap.
That low weight matters because this isn’t a tool watch trying to look technical.

It’s a slim, hand-wound dress piece using a modern material to make daily wear easier and less noticeable.
The Zefiro dial is cut by hand
The dial is the focal point of the Redentore Levius, and it’s where the watch moves from minimalist in feel to intricate in execution.
Its Zefiro pattern takes its name from Zephyrus, the gentle west wind in Greek mythology.

The guilloché work is performed by Linda Renzetti of Atelier Renzetti, a fourth-generation workshop that continues to use antique manually operated equipment.
For this dial, the pattern is cut on an 1850s rose engine.
Rather than confining the engraving to a central medallion or a bordered section, the Zefiro motif runs across the entire dial.
The effect is fluid and irregular, with overlapping lines that shift as the watch catches light from different angles.
Double-faceted alpha hour and minute hands add legibility against the active surface.
Their mix of polished and sandblasted finishing gives the dial just enough contrast without interrupting the pattern.
An Italian hand-wound movement behind the dial
Inside is the V5000, Venezianico’s proprietary hand-wound calibre manufactured in Italy by OISA.
The movement was developed by Italian movement designer Fausto Berizzi and Venezianico technical director Andrea Menegazzo.
Its specification is more ambitious than the watch’s understated dimensions might suggest.
The V5000 uses a free-sprung copper-beryllium balance supplied by Atokalpa, a double-supported balance bridge and KIF Elastor shock protection.
Power reserve is rated at 60 hours, with stated accuracy of plus or minus 3 seconds per day.
Through the sapphire caseback, the four-bridge calibre shows radial Côtes de Genève, polished anglage and hand-applied micro-perlage.
It gives the Redentore Levius a technical and decorative identity that feels coherent with the dial rather than simply functional.

The Redentore Levius should appeal to collectors who want a dress watch with craft at the surface and engineering beneath it, but without the heft that usually comes with traditional formal watchmaking.
Its combination of titanium, hand guilloché and a high-spec Italian hand-wound movement gives Venezianico a distinctive entry in a category that doesn’t often welcome new ideas quietly.
