Vacheron Constantin’s Overseas line has always lived between dress watch polish and travel-ready ease.
The latest Overseas Automatic models sharpen that balance with a compact 34.5mm case, richer dial work and the kind of strap versatility that makes the collection feel genuinely useful day to day.
Offered in rose gold or stainless steel, the new references keep the familiar Overseas architecture while giving it a more intimate, colour-led presence on the wrist.

At a glance
- Vacheron Constantin has introduced two new Overseas Automatic models in a 34.5mm case.
- The watches feature lacquered dials, interchangeable bracelet and strap options, and the in-house automatic Caliber 1088/1.
- Both models come with a metal bracelet, an alligator leather strap and a rubber strap for quick changes without tools.
A smaller Overseas with daily-wear intent
The 34.5mm diameter is the defining move here, not because it chases a trend, but because it gives the Overseas a more adaptable personality.
At 9.33mm thick, the case is slim enough to sit neatly under a cuff while still carrying the visual codes that make the collection instantly recognisable.
The Maltese cross-inspired bezel remains, as do the clean integrated lines that have long separated the Overseas from more overtly technical sports watches.

Its water resistance is rated to approximately 50 metres, enough for the sort of everyday exposure a watch like this is likely to meet.
Lacquered dials with two very different moods
The rose gold model leans into tonal warmth with a monochromatic golden dial that gives the watch a seamless, jewellery-like presence.
Its sunburst-satin centre brings movement to the surface, while the velvety hour track adds a quieter textural contrast around the edge.

The stainless steel edition takes a bolder route with a deep red lacquered dial that gives the compact case a stronger visual signature.
Applied hour markers and hands are rendered in rose gold or white gold depending on the model, with white Super-LumiNova that emits a blue afterglow.
A date window at 3 o’clock keeps the layout practical without crowding the dial.
Caliber 1088/1 and the value of versatility
Inside both models is Vacheron Constantin’s self-winding Caliber 1088/1, an in-house movement offering around 40 hours of power reserve.
The movement is visible through a transparent sapphire case back, adding a mechanical counterpoint to the clean exterior design.
The strap system is just as central to the appeal as the case size or dial colour.
Each watch is delivered with a metal link bracelet, an alligator leather strap and a rubber strap, giving the same watch three distinct ways to be worn.
The integrated interchangeability system and Easy-fit mechanism allow the wearer to swap between them without tools, which suits the Overseas brief particularly well.

These new Overseas Automatic models work because they don’t try to reinvent the collection.
Instead, Vacheron Constantin has refined its proportions, strengthened its use of colour and made the watch easier to live with, which may be exactly where the modern Overseas is at its best.
