The week’s most interesting watch releases leaned hard into personality, from independent eccentricity to high-craft enamel and vivid sport-watch colour.
Louis Erard and Vianney Halter supplied the headline act with a slim, twin-movement collaboration, while Glashütte Original took a quieter route with two minimal aventurine-dial Senators.
Elsewhere, Bell & Ross went alpine, Norqain added turquoise to its lightweight skeleton platform, Vacheron Constantin looked ahead to the Year of the Goat, and Konstantin Chaykin prepared a one-off character watch for charity.

At a glance
- Louis Erard and Vianney Halter return with the Futur Antérieur, a two-movement steel watch offered in Gold and Silver editions.
- Glashütte Original’s new Senator Aventurine models pair pared-back hour-and-minute displays with green and blue aventurine glass dials.
- The week also includes limited and special pieces from Bell & Ross, Norqain, Vacheron Constantin and Konstantin Chaykin, with confirmed pricing ranging from CHF 4,950 to price on request.
Independent watchmaking leads the week
The Louis Erard × Vianney Halter Futur Antérieur is the third collaboration between the accessible Swiss brand and one of independent watchmaking’s most recognisable designers.
Halter’s familiar language is present in the riveted, porthole-like architecture and steampunk edge, but the proportions are unusually restrained for such a visually assertive idea.
The stainless steel case measures 38 × 44mm and just 8.85mm thick, which gives the watch a flatter, more wearable profile than the concept might suggest.

Its most distinctive mechanical choice is the use of two automatic Sellita SW100 movements placed side by side.
One movement handles the hours and minutes, while the other is dedicated to the seconds display, turning a simple time-only format into something more architectural.
The Gold version uses yellow-gilt dials with a black ostrich leather strap, while the Silver version has grained rhodium-plated dials with circular-brushed rings and a blue ostrich leather strap.

Both use blued-steel hands, and both are limited to 178 pieces per version, with a Duo Set limited to 78 sets.
Konstantin Chaykin’s Seneca II sits at the more theatrical end of the independent spectrum.
The unique titanium watch adapts Chaykin’s anthropomorphic display language into a portrait of the Roman philosopher, with ruby-tipped eyes, a guilloché beard and a moonphase smile.

A Latin maxim about good deeds appears on the date ring and is viewed through a sapphire magnifier.
The Seneca II is powered by the automatic K.18-18.6, based on the La Joux-Perret G200, with a 68-hour power reserve.
It is a unique piece headed to the Watches for ELA charity auction in Geneva on 9 November 2026.

Aventurine, enamel and the return of quiet spectacle
Glashütte Original’s Senator Aventurine models take the opposite approach to complication, letting the dial material do almost all of the talking.
The Art Nouveau Green model combines dark green aventurine glass with a red-gold case and brown Louisiana alligator strap with a nubuck finish.
The Art Déco Blue version uses a platinum case, dark blue aventurine glass and a matching blue Louisiana alligator strap.

Both watches display only hours and minutes, a fittingly spare layout for dials designed to catch light rather than compete with it.
Inside is Glashütte Original’s automatic Calibre 36-16, which offers a 100-hour power reserve.
The models join the brand’s Atelier offering, with each watch assembled and regulated by a single watchmaker.

Vacheron Constantin also works in a decorative register with the Métiers d’Art The Legend of the Chinese Zodiac – Year of the Goat.
Although the watch looks ahead to 2027, its format follows the maison’s established Zodiac language, using peripheral indications to keep the centre of the dial open for the artwork.
A hand-engraved gold goat stands on a rocky base against a miniature-painted grand feu enamel landscape.
The automatic Calibre 2460 G4/3 displays hours, minutes, day and date through four apertures, allowing the central scene to remain uninterrupted.
Two versions are planned, one in 18K 5N pink gold and the other in 950 platinum, each limited to 25 pieces.
Sport watches bring colour, speed and weight savings
Bell & Ross gives the BR-05 Chrono a winter-sport jolt with the Snow Rocket, a 250-piece limited edition with a matte white dial and vivid red accents.
The rounded-square steel chronograph keeps the BR-05’s integrated-sports-watch stance but adds italic red numerals, ski-inspired skeletonised hands and a tachymeter scale.
It is powered by the automatic BR-CAL.326 with a 60-hour power reserve.
Buyers can choose either a grooved red rubber strap or the satin-finished and polished steel bracelet.
Norqain’s Wild ONE Skeleton X-Lite Turquoise takes a different route into sport-watch energy, using material construction and colour contrast rather than chronograph graphics.
The watch weighs 45 grams and combines black NORTEQ composite, titanium and aluminium with an X-Lite shock-absorbing casing ring.
Turquoise rubber elements and turquoise dial printing sharpen the skeletonised black layout without changing the core format.
The automatic NBK26/1 calibre, developed with AMT, is COSC-certified and provides a 65-hour power reserve.

It’s a varied slate, but the common thread is clarity of character.
Whether that means twin calibres under a Halter-designed face, aventurine left to breathe, or a philosopher rendered as a mechanical moonphase smile, these are watches built around a point of view rather than a safe average.
