SilverCat is moving into its second generation with a power catamaran range shaped around space, stability and a closer relationship with the water.
The headline act is the all-new SilverCat 47, a family-focused model designed in-house and positioned as the first clear expression of the brand’s updated direction.
It’s a meaningful step for a builder that’s leaning into wider layouts, open-plan living and social decks rather than treating volume as a secondary benefit of catamaran design.

At a glance
- SilverCat has introduced its second-generation power catamaran range, led by the new SilverCat 47.
- The SilverCat 47 features a 4.92-metre beam, expansive aft entertaining space, optional fold-down balconies and a forward lounge for up to eight guests.
- The model uses rPET foam core material made from 100% recycled plastic and sits within SilverCat’s Family Series.
A wider platform for SilverCat’s next chapter
The new generation is built around a larger beam-to-length ratio, giving the boats more usable room across interior and exterior areas.
That extra width is not just about headline space, either.
SilverCat is using it to create broader social zones, brighter cabins and a more fluid connection between the saloon, cockpit and sea.

Outdoor living is now a central part of the brand identity, with entertainment areas arranged to bring owners and guests closer to the water.
Inside, the second-generation range introduces more contemporary finishes, upgraded materials and open-plan layouts with panoramic glazing.
The emphasis is on relaxed practicality, with surfaces and materials chosen to feel refined without becoming precious in day-to-day family use.
The SilverCat 47 brings the family layout into focus
The SilverCat 47 is the first model to embody this new design language, and its 4.92-metre beam gives it one of the largest aft entertainment areas in its class.
Optional fold-down balconies expand the cockpit and make the stern feel more like a waterside terrace than a conventional working deck.
An automatic swim ladder developed in-house adds easier access to the sea, reinforcing the boat’s role as a platform for swimming, anchoring and long days outside.
The cockpit can be tailored with flexible seating configurations, while an extended hardtop provides useful shade underway or at rest.
Forward, a separate entertainment lounge seats up to eight guests, giving the boat a second shaded gathering space with open views.
A wide-opening patio door connects the cockpit and saloon, allowing the main deck to work as one continuous living area when conditions allow.
“With the SilverCat 47, our ambition was to redefine the modern power catamaran by bringing together contemporary yacht styling, intelligent space planning and premium craftsmanship,” said Cristiana Cassese, Product Marketing Specialist at SilverCat.
Comfort, shade and warm-weather cruising
The 47 has clearly been shaped for family cruising, with a twin-seat social helm and twin companion seats keeping the skipper connected to guests rather than isolated from the saloon.
Accommodation is described as en-suite, with strong natural light and ventilation throughout.
A tropical HVAC package has also been engineered for reliable year-round use in warmer climates, an important detail for owners who cruise in high-heat regions.
The broader second-generation brief also promises improved range and cruising efficiency, while retaining the stability and seaworthiness associated with SilverCat’s catamaran platform.
Recycled core material with a practical purpose
The SilverCat 47 also introduces a sustainability measure that sits beneath the surface but matters in production.
The model uses rPET foam core material made from 100% recycled plastic.
SilverCat says the material significantly reduces CO2 emissions during production compared with conventional SAN foam, while matching the strength and durability expected from a premium power catamaran.
It’s a quietly important move, especially in a segment where owners increasingly expect responsible construction choices to sit alongside comfort and performance.
