Seiko’s long-running PADI partnership has produced some of the brand’s most recognisable modern Prospex divers, and the next chapter lands with a double anniversary in mind.
The Prospex Diver’s Watch PADI 60th Anniversary HBB002 celebrates PADI’s 60th anniversary in 2026 and a decade of collaboration between the diving organisation and Seiko.
It does so through a familiar and fan-friendly shape, using the King Turtle platform as the canvas for a limited-edition dive watch with a distinctly PADI colour story.

A King Turtle with anniversary colours
The HBB002 keeps the King Turtle’s established formula intact, including its broad cushion-shaped stainless steel case and crown at four o’clock.
That’s a sensible decision, because the Turtle silhouette remains one of Seiko’s most enduring dive-watch designs and has long balanced tool-watch practicality with everyday wearability.
The anniversary treatment is concentrated on the dial, where a blue base is overlaid with a globe motif that gives the watch its clearest connection to PADI’s international diving identity.
Red appears on the seconds hand and the “Diver’s 200m” text at six o’clock, echoing the blue-and-red palette used for PADI’s anniversary branding.
A matching blue ceramic bezel insert frames the dial and gives the watch a more polished feel than the aluminium inserts found on many more basic Seiko divers.
Dive-ready details and everyday usability
The stainless steel case measures 45mm across, 13.2mm thick and 47.7mm lug to lug.
Those numbers make it a substantial watch, though the Turtle’s rounded cushion case is known for wearing more compactly than its diameter suggests.
Seiko uses a sapphire crystal with a magnifier over the calendar display and anti-reflective coating on the inner surface.
Lumibrite is applied to the hands and indexes for low-light visibility, while a screw-down crown, screw caseback and 200m water resistance place it firmly in practical dive-watch territory.
The watch also carries magnetic resistance of 4,800 A/m, a useful detail for a modern mechanical sports watch worn around laptops, bags and daily electronics.
The calibre 4R36 and strap package
Inside the HBB002 is Seiko’s automatic calibre 4R36, a familiar workhorse movement used across many Prospex models.
It runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour, uses 24 jewels and offers a 41-hour power reserve.
The watch is supplied on a stainless steel bracelet with a three-fold clasp, secure lock, push-button release and diving extension.
Seiko also includes a black high-strength silicone strap printed with the full “Professional Association of Diving Instructors” name, adding a more casual and water-focused option straight from the box.
