Rado’s Captain Cook has always been one of the brand’s more adaptable designs, and its latest limited edition moves the watch firmly onto the cricket pitch.
Created with Australian cricketer Cameron Green, the new Captain Cook x Cameron Green Limited Edition keeps the collection’s familiar dive-watch proportions while adding a run of sporting details that are unusually literal for a Swiss watch.
The result is a 42mm steel Captain Cook in green and gold, limited to 459 pieces in a nod to Green becoming the 459th male player to represent Australia in Test cricket.

At a glance
- Rado has introduced the Captain Cook x Cameron Green Limited Edition, a cricket-themed dive watch limited to 459 pieces.
- The watch uses a green gradient dial, gold-toned details, cricket-inspired markers and three dots at 12 o’clock to represent the stumps.
- It is priced at USD 4,700 and comes with a bracelet, a NATO-style textile strap and a black rubber strap.
Cricket details worked into the Captain Cook dial
The dial does most of the storytelling here, using a green gradient sunray finish intended to recall the surface of a cricket pitch.
At 12 o’clock, three yellow gold-coloured dots stand in for the stumps, giving the watch its clearest link to the game without changing the Captain Cook’s basic layout.
The minute track on the flange takes inspiration from cricket-ball stitching, while the red backdrop under Rado’s moving anchor symbol echoes the colour of the ball.

Yellow gold-coloured applied indices and matching hands are treated with Super-LumiNova, and the seconds hand gets a red tip that ties back into the ball motif.
A date window sits at 3 o’clock, keeping the watch practical rather than purely commemorative.
A green-and-gold case with proper dive-watch hardware
The case measures 42mm across, 12.3mm thick and 48.6mm from lug to lug, with polished stainless steel giving the watch a more dressed-up edge than a fully brushed tool watch.

The rotating bezel is finished in yellow gold-coloured PVD and fitted with a polished green high-tech ceramic insert with metallised markings.
A box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides covers the dial, while the screw-down crown and screw-down caseback help deliver 300 metres of water resistance.
The caseback carries Cameron Green’s signature and the engraving “Limited Edition, One Out Of 459”, connecting the watch directly to his place in Australian Test cricket history.

The R763 movement and three ways to wear it
Inside is Rado’s automatic calibre R763, a movement related to the ETA C07.611 family better known to many collectors through the Powermatic 80 architecture.
It runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour, uses 25 jewels and offers an 80-hour power reserve, which gives it strong everyday usability for a modern automatic watch.
The movement also uses a Nivachron hairspring and is adjusted in five positions.

Rado supplies the watch with three wearing options, starting with an EasyClip rice-grain-style bracelet with brushed stainless-steel outer links and polished yellow gold-coloured PVD-coated middle links.
A green and yellow-gold-coloured textile NATO-style strap and a black rubber strap are also included, making the package more versatile than the celebratory dial might first suggest.

The Captain Cook x Cameron Green Limited Edition is at its best when viewed as a fan’s watch rather than a subtle colour variant, but Rado has given it enough mechanical substance, water resistance and strap flexibility to keep it grounded as a daily-wear diver.
