Patek Philippe has a habit of treating its major exhibitions as more than archival showcases.
For the Watch Art Grand Exhibition Milan 2026, the manufacture is marking the occasion with three Calatrava limited editions that take the green, white and red of the Italian flag and translate them into a tightly edited trio of modern dress watches.
The watches share a 38mm white-gold format, a textured lacquer dial inspired by the Calatrava 6007 and a commemorative Milan 2026 caseback, but each carries a different level of mechanical complexity.

At a glance
- Patek Philippe has introduced three Calatrava limited editions for the Watch Art Grand Exhibition Milan 2026.
- The trio pairs white-gold cases with red, green and white lacquered “carbon” pattern dials, each matched to a different movement and complication.
- Production ranges from 5 pieces for the minute repeater to 200 pieces for the time-and-date model, with prices from EUR 44,800 to EUR 648,000.
A Milan trilogy with Calatrava discipline
The unifying idea is simple, but very Patek Philippe in its execution.
Rather than producing three colourways of the same watch, the maison has used a common design language across three distinct references, giving each piece its own mechanical role within the set.
All three watches are housed in white gold and measure 38mm across, a size that keeps them firmly within classic Calatrava territory while allowing the dial treatment to feel more contemporary.

The “carbon” pattern dial is the modern signature here, bringing a sportier visual texture to watches that remain fundamentally formal in proportion and finish.
Each model also carries a sapphire-crystal caseback with a transfer-printed “Patek Philippe Milano 2026” inscription, marking its connection to the exhibition without overwhelming the watch itself.
The red 7047G-010 is the rarest and most theatrical
The most limited watch in the trio is the Reference 7047G-010, a minute repeater made in just five pieces.

Its red lacquered dial and matching red alligator strap make it the boldest expression of the group, especially against the cool tone of the white-gold case.
The watch uses Patek Philippe’s self-winding calibre R 27 PS, a minute repeater with two classic gongs, small seconds and a 22k gold off-centre mini-rotor.
At 38mm by 10.24mm, it’s compact for a striking watch, which is part of its appeal.

The dial keeps the contemporary codes consistent with white-gold applied numerals and baton-style hands with white luminescent coating, while the red alligator strap is finished with a stopping point in the colours of the Italian flag.
The green perpetual calendar brings Italian calendar displays
The Reference 7147G-010 sits in the middle of the trilogy, both mechanically and numerically, with a 100-piece limited edition.
Its green lacquered dial is paired with a matching green alligator strap, again set against a 38mm white-gold case that measures 9.72mm thick.

Inside is the calibre 240 Q, one of Patek Philippe’s familiar ultra-thin self-winding perpetual calendar movements.
The display includes day, date, month, leap year, 24-hour indication and moon phases, with the calendar indications presented in Italian.
That small linguistic detail gives the watch a stronger sense of place than a commemorative inscription alone could manage.

The white 7007G-010 is the cleanest daily-wear proposition
The most accessible of the three, at least within the context of Patek Philippe limited editions, is the Reference 7007G-010.
Limited to 200 pieces, it takes the same visual concept and pares it back to central hours, minutes, sweep seconds and a date indication.
The white lacquered “carbon” pattern dial and white alligator strap make it the quietest member of the set, though the monochrome execution is far from anonymous.

Its self-winding calibre 26 330 S C is 3.3mm thick and includes a stop-seconds function, with a 21k gold central rotor visible through the caseback.
At 38mm by 8.81mm, it’s the slimmest watch in the group and likely the one that best fits the everyday-dress-watch brief.

As a trio, these Milan editions work because they don’t lean only on national colour.

They frame the Calatrava as a platform broad enough for a grand complication, a classical perpetual calendar and a sharply dressed time-and-date watch, while keeping the whole family unmistakably tied to one city, one exhibition and one very Patek Philippe sense of restraint.
