Piaget’s Andy Warhol watch has never been a quiet object, and the latest version leans into that character with unusual conviction.
The new Piaget Andy Warhol Camouflage Limited Edition takes its cue from Warhol’s 1986 camouflage self-portraits, turning their coded play of concealment and identity into a dial built from ornamental stone and gold.
It’s a watch that sits neatly at the intersection of Piaget’s colour-led watchmaking and Warhol’s enduring presence in the brand’s story.

At a glance
- Piaget has introduced the Andy Warhol Camouflage Limited Edition, inspired by Warhol’s 1986 camouflage self-portraits.
- The dial uses 27 pieces of sodalite, turquoise, satin-finished yellow gold and polished rose gold.
- The watch is limited to 86 pieces and priced at CHF 74,000.
A Warhol reference with real Piaget history
The connection between Piaget and Warhol isn’t a retrospective marketing exercise.
Warhol owned seven Piaget timepieces, including the cushion-shaped reference 15102 designed by Jean-Claude Gueit and produced between 1972 and 1977.
He acquired that 45mm gadrooned watch in 1973, and the model later became known as the Black Tie.

In 2024, in agreement with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Piaget officially renamed it the Andy Warhol Watch.
The Camouflage edition follows the Andy Warhol Clou de Paris and the 2025 Andy Warhol Collage, which used onyx, yellow Namibian serpentine, pink opal and green chrysoprase in a dial composition.
For this new limited series, Piaget keeps the same broad case architecture and automatic calibre, but changes the entire mood through material and pattern.

The camouflage dial becomes a miniature artwork
Warhol’s camouflage self-portraits from 1986 were built around a tension between exposure and disguise.
Piaget brings that idea to the wrist through a dial that doesn’t simply print the pattern, but constructs it from separate materials.
The composition combines deeper-toned sodalite with brighter turquoise, giving the blue palette a mineral contrast rather than a flat graphic effect.

Pieces of satin-finished yellow gold and polished rose gold are set into the arrangement, adding warmth and changing the way the dial catches light.
In total, the dial uses 27 pieces of material.
That construction gives the watch a dimensional quality that’s difficult to achieve with colour alone, especially because the metals and stones respond differently to movement and reflection.

Dauphine-style hands keep the display simple, with hours and minutes only.
The restrained indications allow the camouflage composition to remain the centre of the watch, interrupted only by the Piaget logo above centre and a discreet Swiss Made mark at 6 o’clock.
The familiar cushion case in white gold
The case remains one of the defining parts of the Andy Warhol Watch.

Here it’s made in 18-carat white gold with a rhodium finish, measuring 45mm across and 8.08mm thick.
The shape is large, but the profile is relatively slim, helped by the proportions of the cushion case and the movement inside.
Its stepped gadroons, recessed crown and broad silhouette keep it firmly in the Piaget language of the 1970s, without making the new dial feel like a costume piece.

The solid caseback is engraved with Warhol’s signature and the limited series number.
Water resistance is rated to 30 metres, which fits the watch’s role as an art-led dress piece rather than a sports watch.
A slim automatic calibre inside
Piaget uses its in-house self-winding calibre 501P1 for the Andy Warhol Camouflage, the same movement found in previous editions of the collection.

The calibre is based on the ultra-thin 430P and adapted for automatic winding.
It measures 3.63mm thick, runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 40-hour power reserve.
The watch is fitted to a blue alligator leather strap and secured with a pin buckle.

The Andy Warhol Camouflage is likely to speak most directly to collectors who already understand Piaget’s decorative watchmaking, but its appeal isn’t limited to brand loyalists.
It’s a compact meeting of art reference, 1970s case design and ornamental stone craft, with enough visual tension to feel alive beyond the usual language of limited editions.
