Oris has taken its Muppets partnership in a more technical direction with the ProPilot X Gonzo Edition, unveiled at Geneva Watch Days.
After the colourful ProPilot X Kermit and ProPilot X Miss Piggy, this new model gives The Great Gonzo a watch that’s less obvious at first glance and more interesting the longer you look.
The key change is the platform itself, with Oris choosing the skeletonised ProPilot X Calibre 115 rather than the cleaner dial format used for the earlier character editions.

Gonzo gets a skeletonised ProPilot X
The Gonzo Edition doesn’t go for the obvious all-blue treatment one might expect from the character’s famously beaked face.
Instead, Oris has drawn from one of Gonzo’s signature costumes, translating a yellow shirt with red chilli pepper detailing into a skeleton display that shifts from blue into purple, red and yellow.
It’s a subtler Muppets watch than the Kermit or Miss Piggy editions, and that’s part of its appeal.
The connection rewards a closer look rather than announcing itself from across the room, which suits the more intricate Calibre 115 architecture.
The 10-day movement carries the joke
The calibre 115 is the reason this watch has real substance beyond the character tie-in.
It’s a manual-winding movement with a 240-hour power reserve, shown through a non-linear indicator at 3 o’clock.
That display is fitted with a chilli-shaped hand, accompanied by a “10 Great Days” inscription.
The non-linear reserve means the hand moves slowly through the early part of the power reserve, then accelerates as the watch approaches the point where it needs winding again.
Oris has also hidden a more playful flourish in the visible mainspring between 11 and 12 o’clock.
When fully wound, the outer edge of the spring forms Gonzo’s face through precise laser etching, then the image gradually breaks apart as the spring unwinds over the following 10 days.
It’s the sort of detail that works especially well on a hand-wound watch, where the owner actively brings the image back each time the movement is wound.
A large titanium case with ProPilot X attitude
The watch uses a 44mm multi-part titanium case, keeping the ProPilot X’s angular, industrial character intact.
Sharp facets across the lugs and crown guards give the case its architectural feel, while the spiralling bezel nods to the rope-style bezels seen on older pilot’s watches.
At 12.6mm thick, it’s relatively controlled for a large skeletonised sports watch with a 10-day movement.
The titanium construction also helps offset the 44mm diameter, making the proportions more wearable than the number alone might suggest.
A titanium bracelet with folding clasp completes the watch, keeping the full package in line with the ProPilot X’s lightweight technical identity.
