The Nomos Club has always occupied a quietly important place in the Glashütte brand’s catalogue.
It’s simpler and sportier than the Tangente, less colourful than the Club Campus, and more restrained than the Club Sport, yet it carries much of what makes Nomos appealing in the first place.
Now the classic Club gets a larger sibling with the Nomos Club 38, a 38.5mm version that joins rather than replaces the long-running 36mm format.

At a glance
- Nomos has introduced the Club 38, a larger 38.5mm version of its classic hand-wound Club watch.
- The model keeps the polished case, 100m water resistance and DUW 4001 manual movement, now with two dial options.
- It joins the permanent collection, priced from EUR 1,520 in silver-white and EUR 1,560 in ruthenium.
A bigger Club that keeps the original in play
The Club began in 2007 as reference 701, positioned as an approachable entry point into Nomos with an in-house hand-wound movement.
Its discontinuation in 2017 didn’t erase its following, and Nomos brought the model back in 2023 with small updates while retaining the familiar 36mm case.
The new Club 38 changes the fit without changing the idea.

At 38.5mm across, it gives the design more presence on the wrist, while the 46.7mm lug-to-lug measurement remains relatively contained by Nomos standards.
The case is fully polished, fitted with a domed sapphire crystal and rated to 100 metres of water resistance.
Thickness is also kept in check at 8.4mm with the closed back, or 8.5mm with the optional sapphire display back.

Silver-white or ruthenium, both with a playful edge
Nomos offers the Club 38 in two dial executions.
The standard Nomos Club 38 uses a galvanised, white silver-plated dial with blackened hands and red-toned Super-LumiNova.
Its grey luminous Arabic numerals are outlined in black and have the softly domed profile already seen on the updated 36mm model.

The Club 38 Ruthenium brings a darker mood to the same format.
Its galvanised dark grey dial is ruthenium-plated, with rhodium-plated polished hands and white Super-LumiNova on the hands and numerals.
Nomos adds a small flash of character through yellow outlines around the numerals, a detail that keeps the watch from becoming too severe.

The small seconds display remains part of the Club identity, though on the larger dial it sits farther from the edge than it does on the 36mm version.
The DUW 4001 keeps it properly Nomos
Inside is the DUW 4001, a modern hand-wound calibre descended from the Alpha family.
It’s a compact and slim movement with a 53-hour power reserve and stop-seconds function.

Nomos also fits the calibre with its in-house Swing System, a blue balance spring, ribbing and blued screws.
That matters because the Club’s appeal has always been tied to value as much as design.
Even as an entry point into the brand, it still offers a proper mechanical movement from Glashütte rather than reducing the watch to its styling.

The Club 38 should suit buyers who like the original Club’s clean, youthful character but want a little more dial and case on the wrist.
It doesn’t try to make the watch louder or more complicated, which is exactly why it works as a broader, still accessible expression of one of Nomos’s most approachable designs.
