Architectural watches often lean on visible geometry, but Neode’s debut is quieter and more deliberate than that.
The London-based brand, founded by architect Marius-Daniel Dumitrascu, arrives with the N01 First Edition Pure Silver, a 25-piece titanium watch built around proportion, surface and structure.
It matters because this isn’t a design exercise wrapped around a familiar mechanism. The case is made by Voutilainen & Cattin, the silver dial by Les Cadraniers de Genève, and the movement is a deeply revised Chronode C101 with an eight-day reserve.

At a glance
- Neode debuts with the N01 First Edition Pure Silver, a limited run of 25 watches from the new London-based independent brand.
- The watch combines a Grade 5 titanium case by Voutilainen & Cattin, a hand-finished 925 silver dial and a reworked manual-wind Chronode movement.
- Pricing is CHF 26,400 before taxes for the subscription, with deliveries scheduled from Q2 2027.
A titanium case with architectural tension
The N01 measures 39.5mm across and 7.9mm thick, rising to 9.9mm when the domed sapphire crystal is included.
Its Grade 5 titanium case has a tonneau-like outline formed by a double curvature that narrows toward the lugs, giving the watch a shaped profile without turning it into a formalist object.
There’s a considered symmetry to the construction. The crown sits recessed inside a vertical cut on one side of the case, while a matching cut on the opposite flank balances the architecture.

Voutilainen & Cattin translates that geometry into metal with alternating circular and straight brushing, set against mirror-polished lateral surfaces that catch the case’s edges without making it feel decorative.
At 45.5mm lug-to-lug and with 50 metres of water resistance, the watch is designed to sit close and light on the wrist rather than announce itself through size.
The silver dial is built around light and shadow
The dial is made from 925 silver by Les Cadraniers de Genève, the Geneva dial specialist owned by F.P. Journe and known for work across high-end independent watchmaking.

Rather than relying on heavy ornament, the N01 uses texture and small changes in height to create depth.
Narrow shadow gaps divide the dial into sectors, while the central area and hour ring receive a traditional hand-applied grenage finish that softens reflections into a fine granular glow.
The recessed seconds ring is finished with azurage and diamond-cut edges, and the raised minutes ring is brushed for a subtle contrast.

At 12 o’clock, a teal power-reserve display is set into one of the shadow gaps, discreet enough to almost vanish when the movement is running low.
The hands are made from 18ct grey gold with slate-grey ceramic Super-LumiNova inserts, while the 12, 3, 6 and 9 markers are cut from solid blocks of ceramic Super-LumiNova instead of being printed.
An eight-day Chronode movement with a redesigned layout
Inside is the Neode N01 calibre, derived from the Chronode C101 and developed with Jean-François Mojon and his team.

It remains manually wound, but the architecture has been substantially reconsidered around a clear axis of symmetry and a more open balance area.
The movement is 3.98mm thick and uses two independent mainspring barrels to deliver a 192-hour power reserve, equal to eight days.
Through the sapphire caseback, the visual anchor is a Grade 5 titanium V-shaped balance bridge, rounded and hand-polished for a softer contrast against the darker movement finishing.

The bridges are microbillé and treated with an anthracite galvanic finish, with hand-bevelled edges and sharp internal angles that keep the movement firmly within serious independent territory.
A free-sprung balance with variable-inertia weights runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour.

The N01 First Edition Pure Silver is likely to appeal to collectors who value independent watchmaking when it feels controlled rather than theatrical.

With annual production planned to remain below 100 watches, Neode is entering the field on a small scale, but the debut already has a clear point of view.
