MeisterSinger’s latest special edition leans into a distinctly American kind of freedom, with Route 66 as its backdrop and the Ford Mustang as its visual spark.
The Edition Route 66 keeps the German brand’s signature single-hand timekeeping, but frames it through the language of dashboards, open roads and mid-century motoring culture.
Limited to 100 pieces, it also arrives with a matching presentation concept that makes the watch feel less like a standard catalogue release and more like a small collector’s set.

At a glance
- MeisterSinger has introduced the Edition Route 66, a 100-piece limited watch marking the highway’s centenary.
- The 43mm stainless-steel watch uses a two-layer black dial with Ford Mustang wheel-inspired spokes and the brand’s single-hand display.
- It is priced at EUR 2,390 including VAT and comes with a 1:18-scale red Ford Mustang Convertible model.
A slower reading of a faster theme
Route 66 officially opened in 1926, and its 100th anniversary gives MeisterSinger a neatly timed reason to revisit its automotive special-edition series.
What makes the idea work is the tension between subject and display.
Cars are usually about motion, numbers and quick glances, while MeisterSinger has built its identity around a more relaxed way of reading time through a single central hand.

For the Edition Route 66, that one-hand format feels especially appropriate because speedometers and other traditional car instruments also rely on a single pointer to communicate essential information instantly.
This is the first automotive-themed edition in the series to use the larger No.03 case, rather than the smaller 36mm Neo used for the earlier VW T1 Restomod and Jaguar E-Type Convertible editions.
At 43mm wide and 11.5mm tall, it has the presence to suit the road-trip concept without abandoning the clean, functional geometry of the No.03.

Mustang wheel cues on the dial
The dial is where the car reference becomes most explicit.
MeisterSinger uses a two-layer construction, with a matte black lower level engraved with fine concentric circles and an upper layer formed by six silver-white spokes.
The effect recalls a Ford Mustang wheel without turning the watch into a miniature badge board.

White minute markings run around the perimeter, while the double-digit hour numerals sit closer to the centre in typical MeisterSinger fashion.
The single hand is white with a red tip, a small detail that brings just enough instrument-panel energy to the otherwise restrained layout.
An oval plaque carries the MeisterSinger logo, while the historic Route 66 shield appears toward the lower portion of the dial.

Caseback, movement and collector packaging
The stainless-steel case is fitted with a sapphire crystal on the front and a sapphire display back secured by six screws.
That rear crystal is printed with a semi-transparent Route 66 shield, giving the watch a commemorative detail that can be seen without fully obscuring the movement beneath.
Each caseback is individually engraved with the watch’s consecutive limited-edition number.

Inside is the Sellita SW200 automatic movement, running at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 38-hour power reserve.
For this watch, the focus stays on hours and minutes, with the seconds and date functions suppressed to preserve the brand’s deliberately calm display.
The watch is paired with a black vintage saddle-leather strap, finished with contrasting red stitching and a pin buckle.

MeisterSinger also includes a 1:18-scale red Ford Mustang Convertible model, with both pieces presented in a special box depicting Route 66 and its desert landscape.

The Edition Route 66 is a natural fit for collectors who enjoy MeisterSinger’s unhurried display but want a watch with a more playful cultural reference.
It doesn’t try to mimic a car too literally, and that restraint is what makes the Mustang and highway details land with more charm.
