Beneath the special-edition treatment, the Artura 1000GP keeps the plug-in hybrid powertrain that defines the model.
A 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 works with an electric motor and a 7.4 kWh battery pack to produce a combined 690 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque.
McLaren quotes 0-62 mph in 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 205 mph, which keeps the car firmly in contemporary supercar territory.
It can also travel up to 21 miles on electric power alone, a useful reminder that the Artura’s hybrid system isn’t just there for headline performance.
