MB&F’s M.A.D.Editions M.A.D.2 LIVE is making its UK stop at Hands On Horology in London on June 13, giving British collectors a single event-linked opportunity to try for the new jump-hour release.
The watch is part of a 13-city programme for 2026, with each stop receiving a tiny allocation and a city-specific clasp engraving.

A club-culture M.A.D.2 with a cooler palette
The M.A.D.2 was designed by Eric Giroud and carries a clear musical thread, drawing from 1990s club culture rather than traditional watchmaking nostalgia.

For the LIVE edition, the previously brighter colour treatments give way to a silver-grey dial plate with blue central hour and minute discs, making the watch feel more controlled without losing the kinetic character of the display.
The London clasp makes this one an event piece
Each city on the tour gets its own engraved folding clasp, turning the watch into a location-specific edition rather than a standard catalogue release.
For London, that means an LDN clasp on the stainless steel folding buckle, a small but smart detail that ties the watch directly to Hands On Horology.

Jumping hours from a La Joux-Perret base
The M.A.D.2 LIVE uses a 42mm stainless steel case measuring 12.3mm thick, paired with a rubber strap and rated to 30 metres of water resistance.
Inside is the automatic La Joux-Perret G101, fitted with MB&F’s bi-directional jumping-hour and trailing-minutes module, running at 4 Hz with a 64-hour power reserve.

How the London allocation works
The watch will not simply be sold across the counter, as visitor interest will be handled at the M.A.D.Editions stand during the event before a raffle takes place a few days later.

That format suits the M.A.D.2 LIVE well: it is less a conventional limited edition than a travelling release for collectors who enjoy MB&F’s more accessible experimental side and want a watch with a clear place-and-time connection.
