Maen’s Manhattan 37 Ultra-Thin has become one of the brand’s most convincing expressions of the integrated sports watch, not because it shouts, but because it gets the proportions right.
The blue Tuscan dial version is now returning to production after a period away from the catalogue, giving the collection one of its most characterful configurations again.

The Ultra-Thin execution is where the design feels most settled.
At 37mm wide, 47.4mm lug-to-lug and just 7.1mm thick, it has the stance of a compact steel sports watch with the manners of something far dressier.
That slimness matters because the earlier automatic Manhattan measured 9.3mm thick, and the reduction changes the entire character on the wrist.
Instead of sitting proud like a conventional integrated bracelet watch, this version hugs the wrist and slips under a cuff without losing its angular presence.
The case remains one of the Manhattan’s strongest visual assets.
The octagonal bezel, crisp brushing, polished accents and clean junctions give the watch a more architectural feel than its price might suggest.
It’s also more practical than the profile implies, with 100 metres of water resistance and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.
The integrated bracelet continues the geometry rather than merely attaching to it.

Earlier versions of the Manhattan 37 Ultra-Thin used the ETA Peseux 7001, but the current production model runs on the La Joux-Perret D100.
The hand-wound calibre keeps the case appropriately thin while bringing a 50-hour power reserve and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.
It’s visible through the sapphire caseback, where the movement decoration gives owners something worth looking at when the watch is off the wrist.
The manual-winding format also suits the character of the watch.
Rather than chasing maximum convenience, it adds a small daily ritual that feels in keeping with the Manhattan’s slim, tactile nature.
