Ladurée may be inseparable from the macaron, but Eugénie gives the Parisian Maison another small-format indulgence with its own visual language.
Round, glossy and brightly coloured, the biscuit is designed to be recognised before it’s even tasted, with a chocolate shell, a melting heart and a delicately crunchy base working in sequence.
It’s the kind of confection that feels made for a gift box, though the appeal is just as much in choosing your own mix.

At a glance
- Ladurée’s Eugénie is now available as a signature biscuit collection beyond the Maison’s famous macarons.
- Each piece combines a refined chocolate shell, a melting centre and a crunchy biscuit base.
- The range includes eight permanent flavours, seasonal editions and gift boxes of 6, 12 and 18 pieces.
A new Ladurée ritual in three textures
Eugénie is built around contrast rather than excess.
The first impression comes from the chocolate shell, followed by the softer centre and the crisp biscuit beneath it.
That architecture gives the piece a more layered bite than a simple filled chocolate or biscuit, with texture doing as much work as flavour.

The permanent collection includes Pistachio, Vanilla, Rose, Passion Fruit, Caramel, Chocolate, Strawberry and Hazelnut.
Depending on the flavour, the centre may lean into caramel, praline or fruit compote, giving the collection enough variation to make a mixed box feel deliberate rather than decorative.
The name nods to imperial Paris
The Eugénie name pays tribute to Empress Eugénie, a figure associated with 19th-century French elegance and a contemporary of Louis-Ernest Ladurée, who founded the Maison in 1862.

That historical reference gives the biscuit a natural place within Ladurée’s world, where packaging, colour and ritual matter almost as much as the pastry itself.
Julien Alvarez, Pastry Chef of the Maison, created Eugénie as a confection with a clear identity of its own.
“With Eugénie, I wanted to create an indulgent creation that could be recognised instantly, both through its appearance and through the pleasure it brings from the very first bite,” Alvarez said.

The design reflects that ambition through its round silhouette, pop-leaning colour palette and the Ladurée monogram engraved across the surface.
Flavours made to compose a box
The collection is not positioned as a single-flavour hero product.
Its appeal lies in composition, whether that means a restrained selection of classic flavours or a brighter box built around fruit and floral notes.

For the season, Ladurée has added two limited-edition creations, Blackcurrant Violet and Tarte Tatin Apple.
Both sit naturally within the Eugénie format, using the biscuit’s structure to frame more specific pastry references.
Gift boxes are available in 6, 12 and 18 pieces, making the format flexible enough for a small gesture, a dinner-party table or a more considered present.
Where to find Ladurée Eugénies
Eugénie is available in Ladurée boutiques and online at Laduree.com.
The 12-piece box is also available through Selfridges.
For anyone who already knows Ladurée through macarons, Eugénie offers a different expression of the Maison’s style, less airy, more textural and built around the pleasure of a single polished bite.
