The formula hasn’t been reinvented, which is the point. This is the same robust 300-metre diver, now dressed in a cleaner black-and-white palette with the small red cues that have long been part of Hanhart’s visual language.

Matte black suits the Aquasphere’s tool-watch brief
The main change is the dial, which moves away from the earlier blue execution in favour of a matt black surface with high-contrast markings.
A silver-coloured rehaut gives the dial a defined edge, while applied rectangular hour markers and an Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock keep the layout clear.
The broad, openworked hour and minute hands are filled with Super-LumiNova C1 GL X2, as are the markers, giving the watch the kind of legibility expected from a serious dive watch.
Hanhart’s red accent appears on the seconds hand and at the 12 o’clock bezel marker, adding just enough identity without turning the watch into a retro pastiche.

Regulated automatic movements from Sellita or Soprod
Inside the Aquasphere Matte Black is either a Sellita SW200-1 or a Soprod P024, depending on the production batch.
Both are automatic movements positioned as alternatives to the ETA 2824 architecture, running at 28,800 vibrations per hour with hacking seconds and a minimum 38-hour power reserve.
The more interesting detail is Hanhart’s regulation work in Gütenbach.
Each movement is adjusted to the brand’s in-house standard of 0 to +8 seconds per day, averaged across six positions, which gives the watch a practical precision brief in line with its instrument-watch character.
