Eberhard & Co. Adds Bronze to the Scafograf 200 MCMLIX

Eberhard & Co. Scafograf 200 MCMLIX Bronze Edition with black dial and bronze bezel

Eberhard & Co. has used the Genoa International Boat Show to add a warmer, more characterful edge to its latest Scafograf diver.

The new Scafograf 200 MCMLIX Bronze Edition keeps the compact proportions and black-dial clarity of the line, but introduces bronze where it matters most visually.

It’s a restrained take on the bronze sports watch, using the material for the bezel and crown rather than the full case.

    At a glance

    • Eberhard & Co. has presented the 39 mm Scafograf 200 MCMLIX Bronze Edition at the 2026 Genoa International Boat Show.
    • The diver combines a stainless steel case with a bronze bezel and crown, black ceramic bezel insert and 200 metre water resistance.
    • The watch is offered on leather, Milanese-style steel mesh or the Chassis steel bracelet, with pricing yet to be announced.

A bronze accent for a maritime line

The Scafograf name has been part of Eberhard & Co.’s catalogue since 1959, and the MCMLIX naming nods directly to that first chapter.

This Bronze Edition doesn’t turn the watch into a full vintage exercise.

Instead, it brings bronze into two high-contact visual elements, the unidirectional rotating bezel and screw-down crown, allowing both to develop a patina over time.

That ageing process is part of the appeal, especially on a watch tied so closely to the sea.

The connection is more than thematic, as Eberhard & Co.’s relationship with naval timekeeping stretches back to the 1930s, when officers of the Italian Royal Navy were supplied with the Maison’s chronographs.

    Compact proportions with dive-ready hardware

The watch uses a 39 mm stainless steel case with a 12.30 mm thickness and 19 mm lug width, dimensions that keep it firmly in wearable territory.

The case is satin-finished with polished profiles, a combination that gives the watch enough refinement without diluting its tool-watch character.

A domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective treatment sits above the dial.

Water resistance is rated to 200 metres, supported by a screw-down crown and an automatic helium escape valve positioned at 9 o’clock.

The bronze bezel is fitted with a black ceramic insert, using bronze-coloured markings and vintage-toned luminescence across the first quarter of the minute scale.

That layout keeps the elapsed-time function legible while tying the bezel visually to the crown and dial details.

The black dial keeps the 1959 cues intact

The dial stays close to the established Scafograf 200 MCMLIX language, with applied round and triangular indexes framed by polished bronze-coloured profiles.

Vintage-toned luminescence appears on the indexes and hands, giving the watch a softer look than a modern stark-white diver display.

The hour hand retains the triangular tip associated with the 1959 Scafograf, while the baton minute hand and central seconds hand keep the layout clean.

A luminous circular element on the seconds hand adds a useful running indicator, and the peripheral minute scale is laser-engraved for added definition.

    Leather, mesh or Chassis bracelet

Eberhard & Co. is offering the watch in three configurations, each giving the Bronze Edition a different temperament.

The black water-resistant leather strap has a vintage appearance and bronze-coloured stitching near the lugs, paired with a custom steel buckle.

An optional DÉCLIC deployant clasp is also available for the leather strap.

The second option uses a woven Milanese-style steel mesh bracelet with a two-push-button 2CLICK deployant clasp.

The third pairs the watch with Eberhard & Co.’s Chassis satin-finished steel bracelet, which adds polished profiles and the same 2CLICK clasp.

On the reverse, the screw-fixed stainless steel case back is decorated with a starfish rendered in 5N gold-coloured PVD, the emblem associated with the Scafograf family.
