The Octo Finissimo has always been a watch about architecture, but Bulgari’s latest version brings in one of independent watchmaking’s most distinctive mechanical imaginations.
Created with Vianney Halter for Geneva Watch Days 2026, the Octo Finissimo Dual Time × Vianney Halter is more than a special dial treatment.
It introduces a new Bulgari manufacture calibre with GMT, date and day/night displays, while keeping the slim, angular presence that defines the collection.

A collaboration that reaches the calibre
Many watch collaborations stop at colour, surface or signature details, but this one goes deeper into the mechanics.
Vianney Halter worked with Bulgari on the movement itself, bringing his taste for independent displays and layered indications into the Octo Finissimo format.
The design was developed with Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, Bulgari’s Executive Director of Product Creation, with a clear brief to keep both identities visible.
That balance matters here, because the Octo Finissimo is one of the few modern watch designs with a silhouette strong enough to resist dilution.
Halter’s contribution doesn’t soften that geometry, but it does make the watch feel more eccentric and more mechanical at a glance.
Four displays inside the Octo geometry
The dial is built around four opaline rhodium-plated displays arranged across the face of the watch.
Separate areas are used for hours and minutes, GMT, date and day/night indication, joined by small seconds.
The layout has the controlled asymmetry associated with Halter’s work, yet it remains framed by the disciplined architecture of Bulgari’s ultra-thin case.
Blue shaped hands bring the independent watchmaker’s visual language into the design, while a red arrow seconds hand adds a sharper accent.
The construction is not merely decorative.
Producing a consistent opaline finish across four separate elements created a manufacturing challenge, particularly with the different hand heights and functional clearances involved.
Bulgari also developed dedicated manufacturing tools to miniaturise the additional components required for the display system.
The BVF 200 movement
Inside the watch is the new automatic Calibre BVF 200, produced across Bulgari’s workshops in Saignelégier and Le Sentier.
The movement measures 5.49 mm thick and uses a platinum micro-rotor, allowing the watch to keep its comparatively slim overall height despite the added indications.
It runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour and delivers a 60-hour power reserve.
Finishing includes vertical Côtes de Genève, brushing and perlage, with Halter’s signature engraved on the platinum micro-rotor.
On the rose-gold edition, the micro-rotor receives a rose-gold coloured finish to visually connect it with the case.
Titanium and rose-gold editions
The case measures 40.5 mm across and 9.70 mm thick, proportions that keep it firmly within the Octo Finissimo family.
Its architecture is made from more than 50 components and includes satin-polished porthole bezels and integrated crown guards.
The construction preserves the clean geometry of the case while offering water resistance rated to 3 ATM, or 30 metres.
Two versions will be offered.
Reference 104356 is limited to 30 pieces and uses a sandblasted titanium case with a matching integrated titanium bracelet.
It is fitted with polished titanium bezels and a polished titanium crown with a black ceramic insert.
Reference 104355 is limited to 15 pieces and moves the concept into rose gold, with a sandblasted case base, vertically brushed upper section, satin-polished rose-gold bezels and a polished crown with a black ceramic insert.
That version is paired with a brown alligator strap and rose-gold ardillon buckle.

The Octo Finissimo Dual Time × Vianney Halter should appeal to collectors who already understand the Octo as a serious modern platform, but want something with a more idiosyncratic mechanical voice.
It is still recognisably Bulgari, still thin, still architectural, yet the divided indications and movement work give it a character that sits much closer to independent watchmaking than a conventional travel watch.
