Bravur has added the Grand Tour Sprinter to its cycling-inspired chronograph line, timing the release with Grand Tour season and giving the watch a palette that immediately points to the fastest riders in the bunch.
The Swedish brand has made cycling one of its clearest signatures, and this new model leans into the final-kilometer drama of a sprint finish rather than the climbing or general-classification side of the sport.
Green and Purple for the Points Jersey Fight
The Grand Tour Sprinter uses a muted green dial with an asphalt-textured outer section, matched with purple sub-dials and an optional purple aluminum bezel insert.
The colors are not random: green recalls the Tour de France points jersey, while purple nods to the Giro d’Italia’s maglia ciclamino, both prizes for riders who collect points through stage finishes and intermediate sprints.
For buyers who want a less extroverted version, Bravur also offers the watch with a steel bezel instead of the purple insert.
Last-Kilometer Details on a 38.2mm Case
The stainless steel case measures 38.2mm across, 46.3mm lug to lug and 14.4mm thick, putting it in a relatively compact zone for an automatic chronograph.
A triangular Super-LumiNova-filled marker at 12 o’clock echoes the flamme rouge, the banner that marks the final kilometer of a road race.
At 1 o’clock, Bravur places an upside-down 13, a familiar cycling superstition seen when riders invert race number 13 to avoid bad luck.
Sellita SW511 b with a 62-Hour Reserve
Inside is the Sellita SW511 b, an automatic chronograph movement running at 28,800vph with hacking seconds, manual winding and a 62-hour power reserve.
The layout includes a central chronograph seconds hand, a 15-minute counter and a 12-hour counter, alongside running time with small seconds.
The movement is visible through a sapphire display back, where Bravur has fitted a custom rotor.
Price, Straps and Pre-Order Timing
The Grand Tour Sprinter is hand-built to order in Sweden and is priced at €2,550 including VAT, or US$2,550 excluding taxes.
Strap choices include black FKM rubber, black perforated racing-style leather or a three-link stainless steel bracelet, all paired with an 18mm lug width.
Pre-orders are scheduled for June delivery, and orders placed by May 25 include the newly developed steel bracelet at no additional cost.
With 100 meters of water resistance, a domed sapphire crystal and a dial that speaks fluently to road racing fans, the Grand Tour Sprinter is a sharp fit for collectors who want a sports chronograph with a specific point of view rather than another generic motorsport cue.
