Bentley’s Supersports has always been framed around focus, speed and theatre, and its latest Mulliner treatment leans heavily into all three.
Design Theme by Mulliner introduces a side-to-side fade paint finish for the first time on a Bentley, created exclusively for the Supersports and set to make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
It’s a visual idea with a clear point of view, giving the driver’s side the bolder colour before blending across the body into a darker tone on the opposite flank.

At a glance
- Bentley has created Design Theme by Mulliner exclusively for the Supersports.
- The package introduces a first-for-Bentley side-to-side paint fade, with an off-centre stripe and matching driver-led cabin treatment.
- Three curated themes will be shown, with the debut taking place at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
A Mulliner paint fade built around the driver
The defining element is the fade itself, which runs laterally across the car rather than following the more familiar front-to-rear gradient.
A vivid highlight colour anchors the driver’s side, then dissolves into a deeper shade on the passenger side, creating an asymmetry that’s intentional rather than decorative.
Bentley has also added a single off-centre highlight stripe running from nose to tail, aligned with the passenger seat.
The effect is designed to underline the Supersports’ two-seat, driver-focused brief, and the layout remains centred around the driver regardless of left- or right-hand drive configuration.
Exterior finishing details include a number eight on the front grille, plus accent pinstriping on the carbon diffusers, fender blades and sills.
Three curated colourways from Dragon to Brodgar
Design Theme by Mulliner will be offered in three specially curated specifications, each carrying its colour concept from the exterior into the cabin.
Dragon is the most dramatic of the trio, pairing a Dragon Red to Black Crystal exterior fade with a Hotspur and Beluga interior.
Electric takes a cooler approach, moving from Electric Blue into Dark Sapphire outside, while the cabin combines Klein blue accents with Imperial Blue.
Brodgar is the most restrained interpretation, using Pale Brodgar fading into Brodgar on the exterior and a Camel and Beluga treatment inside.
Customers wanting a more individual finish can discuss alternative or bespoke paint directions through a Bentley retailer, with Mulliner able to explore further possibilities.
A two-seat cabin with asymmetrical colour
Inside, the Supersports keeps its two-seat layout and motorsport-influenced sense of purpose.
For the Mulliner theme, the cabin follows the same asymmetrical logic as the bodywork, with the brighter tone surrounding the driver and the darker shade reserved for the passenger side.
The package includes Bentley’s Full Leather Specification, while the seats and door inserts feature a unique Supersports perforation pattern.
The contrast gear lever is matched to the driver’s seat, with contrast stitching used across the dashboard and headrests.
It’s a more theatrical interpretation of Bentley personalisation, but it still ties back to the car’s central idea, which is to make the person behind the wheel feel like the whole car has been composed around them.

Goodwood debut for a more expressive Supersports
The Design Theme by Mulliner will appear at the Goodwood Festival of Speed as one of three special Mulliner-painted cars on the Bentley stand, positioned diagonally opposite Goodwood House.
It follows the Supersports’ earlier Level One and Level Two design themes, which introduced their own combinations of three-tone cabin treatments, perforated Dinamica, contrast stitching, embroidery, 22-inch wheels, pinstripe accents and exterior graphic details.
Those earlier themes came in five named specifications, Skies, Meteorite, Daybreak, Snowstorm and Nightfall, but the Mulliner fade treatment moves the concept further into coachbuilt territory.
For Bentley buyers who want the Supersports to look as singular as it feels, this is Mulliner using colour not just as decoration, but as a way of reinforcing the car’s driver-first character.
