Bell & Ross has returned to one of its more unusual recurring themes with a chronograph that leans fully into cigar culture.
The new BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont brings the brand’s integrated sports-watch architecture together with S.T. Dupont, the French maison known for refined lighters and smoking accessories.
It’s a niche idea, but Bell & Ross treats it with enough detail to make the watch feel more like a complete object than a simple colourway.

A cigar ritual rendered in steel, gold and ebony
Cigar inspiration in watchmaking can easily become theatrical, but the strongest part of this edition is its focus on the objects around the ritual.
The watch is delivered in a Macassar ebony presentation box fitted with a S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 lighter and a matching cigar cutter.
That box also functions as a humidor with space for up to 50 cigars, turning the set into a practical accessory rather than a decorative collector’s case.
The lighter follows the watch’s palette with steel and gold finishes, along with a gradient brown pattern that echoes the dial and strap.
The BR-05 Chrono takes on a warmer character
The watch itself keeps the familiar BR-05 Chrono silhouette, with a square case softened by rounded corners and an integrated sports-watch stance.
Here, the 42mm case pairs stainless steel with 18k rose gold, using satin-brushed and polished surfaces to separate the sharper architectural lines from the warmer precious-metal accents.
The brown sunray dial is the clearest visual link to the cigar theme, but it’s handled with restraint.
Rose gold-coloured applied numerals, indexes and skeletonised hands sit against the rich dial, while beige Super-LumiNova adds contrast and a vintage-leaning warmth.
The chronograph arrangement remains classic for the BR-05 Chrono, with a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, small seconds at 9 o’clock and a date tucked between 4 and 5 o’clock.
The S.T. Dupont logo appears at 6 o’clock, marking the collaboration without overwhelming the dial.
An automatic chronograph inside the integrated case
Power comes from the Bell & Ross BR-CAL.326 automatic chronograph movement, visible through a sapphire caseback.
The calibre is based on the Sellita SW510 and follows the Valjoux 7750 architecture, running at 4Hz with a 60-hour power reserve.
The watch is water-resistant to 100 metres and fitted with a screw-down crown, giving the precious-metal treatment a practical foundation.
Owners can choose between a two-tone steel and rose gold bracelet or a brown calfskin leather strap with black patina and a faux-alligator finish.

The BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont won’t be the quietest version of Bell & Ross’s urban chronograph, but that’s not really the point.
It’s aimed at collectors who appreciate the watch as part of a wider ritual, where the packaging, accessories and materials matter almost as much as the chronograph on the wrist.
