TAG Heuer has reworked the Carrera Chronograph Sport with a more compact 42 mm case and a cleaner, more technically defined profile.
The update matters because the Carrera is one of the brand’s core motorsport watches, and this generation addresses the proportions of the 2020-era model while keeping the chronograph’s driver-focused identity intact.
With five launch configurations, an in-house automatic chronograph calibre and pricing from €6,350, it’s a substantial reset rather than a routine dial refresh.

At a glance
- TAG Heuer has redesigned the Carrera Chronograph Sport around a 42 mm stainless-steel case.
- All five versions use the in-house Calibre TH20-00 automatic chronograph movement with an 80-hour power reserve.
- Prices start at CHF 6,000 / €6,350 / US$6,650 for the strap model and CHF 6,200 / €6,550 / US$6,850 on bracelet.
A more wearable Carrera Sport case
The most important change is the case, which drops from 44 mm to 42 mm in diameter.
TAG Heuer has also trimmed the lug-to-lug measurement from 49.8 mm to 48.6 mm and reduced thickness from 15.48 mm to 14.17 mm, changes that should make the watch sit with noticeably more restraint on the wrist.
The stainless-steel case uses a mix of brushed and polished surfaces, with brushed flanks giving the watch a more instrument-like edge.

The fixed tachymeter bezel has been reworked too, pairing a polished ceramic insert with a visible steel cradle that creates a stronger separation between case and bezel.
The piston-inspired chronograph pushers keep the automotive cue direct without turning the watch into a costume piece.
The Carrera dial returns to clarity
The Carrera name has been tied to legibility since 1963, when Jack Heuer conceived the chronograph for professional drivers and took inspiration from the Carrera Panamericana road race.

That clarity-first idea is still the centre of the watch, though the new model gives it a more contemporary execution.
The dial now uses Arabic numerals instead of the previous generation’s applied indexes, a move that gives the watch a more direct sports-watch character.
The tricompax chronograph layout places counters at 3, 9 and 6 o’clock, with running seconds at 6 o’clock and the date integrated into the same lower section.

White tachymeter markings remain on the bezel, while faceted hour and minute hands receive Super-LumiNova for low-light readability.
Five configurations for the opening line-up
The initial collection includes five references split across black, blue, green and panda-style silver dial executions.
Reference CDB2110.BA0054 uses a black opalin dial with black counters, red chronograph hands and red accents, matched to a stainless-steel H-shaped bracelet.

The blue sunray-brushed version, reference CDB2111.BA0054, adds silver counters, grey chronograph details and a matching blue ceramic tachymeter bezel on the same steel bracelet.
For a warmer take on the same blue dial, reference CDB2111.FC8378 pairs it with a perforated brown calfskin strap and folding pin buckle.
The green model, reference CDB2112.BA0054, follows the same format with a green sunray-brushed dial, silver counters and matching ceramic bezel.

Reference CDB2113.BA0054 is the classic panda option, using a silver sunray-brushed dial, black counters and a black ceramic tachymeter bezel.
The H-shaped bracelet appears on four references and now includes an easy-link adjustment system, allowing small length changes without tools.
Calibre TH20-00 and Formula 1 timing context
Inside each model is TAG Heuer’s Calibre TH20-00, an in-house automatic chronograph movement visible through a screw-down sapphire case back.

The column-wheel calibre runs at 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour, and delivers an 80-hour power reserve.
A Victory Wreath engraving appears on the back of the right upper lug, continuing a detail seen on recent Carrera models.
The launch is set for Madrid during the 2026 Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix, where TAG Heuer is Title Partner of the race and Official Timekeeper of Formula 1.

It’s a fitting setting for a Carrera, particularly one that leans back into the practical racing chronograph language that made the line endure.
