TAG Heuer has introduced the Formula 1 Solargraph x Indy 500 Limited Edition, a 38mm steel watch created for the 110th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500.
Limited to 1,110 pieces, the watch brings the brand’s light-powered Formula 1 platform into one of American motorsport’s most recognisable arenas.
A 38mm Formula 1 Built Around the Speedway
The watch uses a sandblasted stainless steel case with a matching three-link bracelet, giving it the same compact, casual stance as the recent Formula 1 Solargraph releases.
A black TH-Polylight rotating bezel frames the dial, with a brown 60-minute scale chosen to echo the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s winged wheel emblem.
Black, Brown and a Red Racing Hand
The black opaline dial keeps the theme tight, pairing a brown outer minute track with applied markers and TAG Heuer’s signature shield-shaped indices at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway logo sits at 6 o’clock, while the date window balances the layout at 3 o’clock.
Mercedes-style central hands handle the hours and minutes, joined by a bright red seconds hand that gives the otherwise dark dial a useful hit of track-day colour.
Solargraph Power for Everyday Use
Inside is TAG Heuer’s TH50-00 Solargraph calibre, a quartz movement powered by light rather than regular battery changes.
One minute of direct sunlight can deliver around 24 hours of running time, while a full charge gives the watch up to 10 months of autonomy.
Because the movement can be charged by both natural and artificial light, it is well suited to collectors who want a reliable grab-and-go sports watch rather than another piece that needs winding or frequent attention.
Limited Edition Price and Key Details
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph x Indy 500 Limited Edition is water resistant to 100 metres and fitted with a folding clasp with double safety push-buttons.
Pricing is set at £1,900, with US pricing listed at $2,250, and production is capped at 1,110 examples.
It is a natural fit for Indy 500 attendees, American motorsport fans and TAG Heuer collectors who want a Formula 1 with a more specific story than the standard catalogue models.
