Seiko’s Presage Cocktail Time line has always been at its best when it treats the dress watch with a little less solemnity.
For 2026, the collection gets three new permanent additions in the HCB001, HCB002 and HCB003, each built around a compact stainless steel case, a textured gradient dial and the familiar automatic 4R35 movement.
They’re not complicated watches, and that’s part of the appeal.

A smaller Cocktail Time case with everyday proportions
The new trio sits in a 38.5mm stainless steel case, which feels like a sensible size for a watch with dressier intentions.
At 45.4mm lug-to-lug, the proportions should suit a wide spread of wrists without losing the polished presence that has made the Cocktail Time series popular.
The case is 11.8mm thick, so it isn’t ultra-slim, but it remains approachable for an automatic watch at this price point.
Seiko uses a box-shaped Hardlex crystal on the front, a see-through caseback with mineral glass and a practical 50 metres of water resistance.
The shape stays clean and familiar, with straight lugs and a mix of polished surfaces with brushed accents.
Three gradient dials with different moods
The dials are the reason these watches exist.
Each model uses a lightly textured dial under a translucent gradient colour, giving the surface more depth than a flat dress-watch dial would usually offer.
The HCB001 is the coolest and most understated of the group, pairing a blue gradient dial with silver-toned hands and applied markers.
The HCB002 moves warmer with a green gradient dial and yellow-gold-coloured accents.
The HCB003 leans into a brown gradient dial matched with rose-gold-coloured hands and markers.
Across all three, the hands and markers are polished, faceted and non-luminous, which keeps the watches closer to the dress side of the Presage family.
A round date window sits at 4:30, a familiar Seiko choice that keeps the dial symmetrical from a distance while adding daily usability.
The 4R35 keeps the formula accessible
Inside each watch is Seiko’s calibre 4R35, one of the brand’s best-known automatic movements for its entry-level mechanical models.
It runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour, uses 23 jewels and offers around 41 hours of power reserve.
The movement provides hours, minutes, seconds with hacking and a date display.
It’s visible through the caseback, which gives the watch a mechanical point of interest without pushing it into a higher price bracket.
Bracelet for blue, leather for green and brown
Seiko gives the three versions slightly different personalities through their straps and bracelets.
The blue HCB001 comes on a five-link stainless steel bracelet with brushed and polished finishing, making it the most casual and versatile of the trio.
The green HCB002 is fitted to a light-brown cow leather strap, while the brown HCB003 gets a dark-brown cow leather strap.
Both leather-strap versions include a quick-release system and a three-fold steel clasp, which is a useful touch for anyone who likes changing the feel of a watch without tools.

The HCB001, HCB002 and HCB003 don’t try to reinvent the Presage Cocktail Time idea, and they’re better for it.
They refine the formula around wearable sizing, expressive dials and a known automatic movement, making them easy to understand for newer mechanical-watch buyers and still charming enough for seasoned Seiko fans.
