The Watch Art Grand Exhibition has always been more than a product launch.
It’s a public-facing window into Patek Philippe’s culture, from grand complications and city-specific editions to the enamel, engraving, gem-setting and marquetry work that usually lives far from the mainstream spotlight.
Milan editions led by a new perpetual calendar chronograph
The Milan limited editions are the pieces most directly tied to the host city, each fitted with a sapphire caseback bearing the inscription “Patek Philippe Milano 2026”.

The technical centrepiece is the Ref. 5978P-010 Chronograph Perpetual Calendar, a 42mm platinum limited edition of 120 pieces.
Its significance lies in the new calibre CH 29-535 PS QI, which brings together Patek Philippe’s manually wound chronograph architecture with an instantaneous-change perpetual calendar for the first time.
Patek has also created two versions of the Ref. 5531G Minute Repeater World Time, each limited to five pieces and each featuring a Grand Feu enamel depiction of Milan at the centre of the dial.

One presents the city by day, while the Ref. 5531G-013 shows Milan at night with illuminated streets, paired with the calibre R 27 HU and a 48-hour power reserve.
A trio of white-gold models adds a more graphic Milanese flourish through colour.
The Ref. 7047G-010 Minute Repeater uses a 38mm Calatrava case, a red lacquer dial with a carbon-fibre-inspired motif and the automatic calibre R 27 PS with micro-rotor.

The Ref. 7147G-010 Perpetual Calendar shifts the same dial language into green lacquer, while the Ref. 7007G-010 Calatrava Date uses a white lacquer base with black numerals, scales and hands for a crisp architectural effect.
The sportiest Milan edition is the Ref. 5167A-014 Aquanaut Date, a 40.8mm steel model with a fumé blue dial and red detailing on the minute track and central seconds hand.
Gondolo Ladies First returns in a jewelled cushion case
Beyond the Milan-specific watches, Patek Philippe has introduced the Gondolo Ladies First collection, a six-model family built around a 31mm by 34.8mm cushion case.

All six pieces are set with diamonds and use the quartz E15 movement, placing the emphasis on proportion, jewellery work and colour rather than mechanical complication.
The three diamond-flange models include a bi-metal white and rose gold Ref. 7043GR-001 with a silver opaline dial, a white gold Ref. 7043G-001 with a blue dial and a rose gold Ref. 7043R-001 with a brown dial.
The three Joaillerie editions go further with diamond-set dials, flanges and cases.

Those include the bi-metal Ref. 7043/250GR-001 with amethyst accents, the white gold Ref. 7043/250G-001 with blue topaz accents and the rose gold Ref. 7043/250R-001 with tsavorite accents.
Rare Handcrafts look across Italy
The Rare Handcrafts section is where the Milan exhibition becomes unmistakably Patek Philippe.
For 2026, the maison has created 25 new pieces across wristwatches, pocket watches and table clocks, with techniques including enamel, gem-setting, engraving, marquetry and micro-painting.

Among the wristwatches, the Ref. 7040/250G-011 Florentine Mosaic is a unique Calatrava Minute Repeater with a micro-painted dial over enamel, using a traditional hardstone-inspired painting technique to create a floral composition.
A quartet of Golden Ellipse models explores four distinct decorative directions.
Crouching Lion uses grisaille enamel au blanc de Limoges, a rare technique in which white enamel is layered over a dark ground.

Sunset in Tuscany uses wood marquetry, while Baroque Design and The Great Gallery use micro-painting over enamel.
The Calatrava group expands the Italian theme through lacework motifs, landscapes and a four-piece road-trip mini-series, with gem-set and hobnail bezels appearing across the selection.
Cloisonné enamel is a recurring technique here, giving the landscapes and motifs a vivid, hand-worked quality.

The pocket watches continue the Italian thread with scenes such as Burano and Venetian Cruise, alongside pieces that nod to Italian art and literature, including Stuccoes and Dante.
The table clocks range from a City of Milan piece to dome clocks inspired by themes such as Sicilian lemons and Rome by night.

What makes the Milan edition compelling is the range of Patek Philippe’s watchmaking language in one place, from a new high-complication calibre to enamel cityscapes, jewelled cushion cases and decorative objects that sit closer to art than conventional product.

For collectors, the exhibition offers a rare chance to see the maison’s commercial, technical and artisanal worlds overlap in a single setting.
