Parmigiani Fleurier has added an 18k rose gold version to the 40mm Tonda PF Chronograph, pairing the collection’s more compact no-date chronograph format with a Mineral Blue guilloché dial.
It is a warmer and more overtly precious take on a watch that began in steel, while keeping the restrained proportions and technical seriousness that have defined the Tonda PF line since its launch.
A rose gold case that keeps the Tonda PF profile
The case measures 40mm across and 12.72mm thick, which gives the watch a notably compact footprint for an integrated automatic chronograph.

Parmigiani Fleurier keeps the familiar Tonda PF signatures in place, including the knurled bezel, teardrop-shaped pushers, integrated bracelet and screw-down crown with 100 metres of water resistance.
The finishing is deliberately contrasted, with polished details on the crown, pushers and outer bracelet links set against satin-brushed case flanks and inner bracelet links.
Mineral Blue with hand guilloché texture
The Mineral Blue dial uses a hand-guilloché grain d’orge pattern, giving the surface a quiet texture rather than a flat wash of colour.

Parmigiani Fleurier has also kept the dial free of a date window, allowing the recessed 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters at 3 and 9 o’clock and the small seconds at 6 o’clock to sit cleanly within the composition.
The hands and applied indices are in rose gold, while the chronograph and small seconds hands are rose gold-plated steel, and there is no luminous material to interrupt the dressier character of the watch.
The PF070 remains the technical centrepiece
Inside is the automatic calibre PF070, an integrated in-house chronograph movement that runs at 36,000 vibrations per hour for one-tenth-of-a-second timing.

The movement is COSC-certified and uses a column wheel with a vertical clutch, a combination that suits a chronograph intended to feel precise both mechanically and at the pushers.
Despite measuring just 6.95mm thick, the PF070 offers a 65-hour power reserve and can be viewed through the sapphire caseback, where the 22k rose gold skeletonised rotor joins hand-bevelled edges and polished and sandblasted finishing.
Price and collector appeal
The Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Chronograph 40mm in rose gold is reference PFC917-2020001-100182 and is priced at CHF 70,000 or EUR 79,000.

That positions it well above the steel edition, but the appeal here is clear for collectors who want the Tonda PF’s understated integrated-bracelet language in a richer metal, without giving up the high-frequency chronograph movement that makes the model more than a design exercise.
