Panerai’s latest Luminor Marina doesn’t change the formula so much as redirect its mood.
The new PAM01707 joins the 44mm Carbotech line with beige accents across the dial and strap, giving one of Panerai’s most modern case materials a noticeably warmer, more heritage-led character.
It’s a small visual adjustment on paper, but on a watch as graphic as the Luminor Marina, colour does a lot of the heavy lifting.

By contrast, the beige treatment on the PAM01707 pulls the watch toward a neo-vintage register, recalling the look of aged luminous material on older Luminor models.

Rather than softening the Carbotech case completely, the beige lume gives it tension, setting Panerai’s military-derived design language against one of its most contemporary materials.
The black matte sandwich dial keeps the familiar Luminor depth, with the cut-out construction allowing the luminous layer beneath to do its work cleanly.

The P.9010 keeps the Marina familiar
Inside the PAM01707 is Panerai’s automatic calibre P.9010, the same movement used in the blue-accented PAM02661.
It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 72-hour power reserve, giving the watch enough autonomy to sit off the wrist for a weekend without needing immediate attention.
The functions are deliberately straightforward, with hours, minutes and small seconds rather than a complication-heavy layout.
That simplicity suits the Luminor Marina well, since much of the appeal is in the case architecture, crown guard profile and dial clarity rather than mechanical theatre.
