Micromilspec Adds a White Dial to the Dualtimer GMT

Micromilspec has given its Dualtimer GMT a cleaner, brighter personality with a new white dial version of the 42mm pilot’s watch.

For the Oslo-based brand, this isn’t just a new colourway. It sharpens the Dualtimer’s core idea, which is fast, practical time-zone reading in a watch with clear aviation roots.

The launch also brings fresh pre-orders for the Pilot line, including the black Dualtimer and the black and white Worldtimer models that disappeared quickly during their first run.

The white Dualtimer keeps the same utilitarian brief as the black model, but changes the way the watch reads on the wrist.

A matte white dial gives the Arabic numerals, hands and markers a stronger visual edge, especially in daylight, where the contrast feels more immediate than decorative.

The layout follows a Type A Flieger-style format, with a triangle and twin dots at 12 o’clock and large numerals around the dial.

A date window sits at 3 o’clock, shaped with a cockpit-instrument feel rather than trying to disappear.

After dark, Micromilspec separates the two time readings through colour rather than clutter.

Green Super-LumiNova X1 is used for the local-time hands and indices, while blue lume is assigned to the GMT hand and bezel, making the second time zone easier to isolate at a glance.

The aviation link behind the Dualtimer

Micromilspec’s connection to pilot watches is more than a styling exercise.

One of the brand’s early projects was a commissioned watch for the Royal Norwegian Air Force, where multi-time-zone legibility had a practical purpose.

The public Dualtimer carries that idea into a more widely available watch, using a 24-hour bezel and an independently adjustable GMT hand for tracking another time zone.

It’s a restrained approach compared with busy travel watches, and that restraint suits the brand’s military and first-responder background.

The white dial doesn’t alter the function, but it does make the watch feel a little more open and less tactical than the black version.

Swiss movement, steel case and useful water resistance

The watch is powered by the Sellita SW330-2, an automatic GMT calibre running at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 56-hour power reserve.

Micromilspec fits the movement with its own rotor, visible through a sapphire display caseback.

The brushed stainless steel case measures 42mm across, 12.5mm thick and 50.3mm lug to lug, putting it firmly in modern tool-watch territory.

A screw-down crown and 200 metres of water resistance make the Dualtimer more versatile than its aviation styling might suggest.

Buyers can choose textured rubber straps in black, white or orange, or a brushed steel H-link bracelet with a butterfly clasp.

Optional caseback engraving adds a personal angle, which fits a brand that built much of its identity around commissioned watches for specific units and organisations.

The wider Pilot collection returns

The white Dualtimer arrives alongside a second pre-order run for three Pilot models that sold out previously.

That includes the original black Dualtimer and both black and white versions of the Worldtimer.

The Worldtimer sits higher in the range, with a Grade 5 titanium case, a column-wheel chronograph movement from La Joux-Perret and a bidirectional ceramic city bezel covering 24 locations.

It is the more complex and more expensive option, while the Dualtimer remains the cleaner GMT-only choice at roughly half the starting price.

Together, the collection now has a more complete rhythm, with black and white dial options across the simpler GMT and the more technical chronograph Worldtimer.

The white Dualtimer should appeal to collectors who liked the original format but wanted something less dark and more immediately legible.

It’s still very much a Micromilspec watch, with a functional brief, Swiss mechanics and a made-to-order model that keeps production deliberately tight.
