MB&F has introduced the HM11 Architect ART DECO, a new evolution of its house-shaped Horological Machine that pushes the 2023 HM11 Architect into a more decorative, 1930s-inspired direction.
Conceived by Maximilian Büsser with Maximilian Maertens, the watch keeps the idea of time displayed through an architectural object rather than a conventional wristwatch, with a grade 5 titanium construction that feels closer to a miniature city than a simple case and dial.
A titanium case built like a small structure
The HM11 Architect ART DECO measures 42mm across and 23mm thick, dimensions that make sense once the watch is understood as a three-dimensional object with volume, wings and separate visual zones.
Its case is made from 92 components and offers 20 metres of water resistance, with the thickness giving MB&F room to create the layered architectural effect that defines the HM11 concept.
Art Deco details with blue or green dial floors
The ART DECO edition brings period cues into the display, including sunbeam motifs, two-tone rings, stylised typography and hands with a red stained-glass effect.
MB&F will produce the watch in two versions, each limited to 10 pieces, with buyers choosing between blue or green dial floors inside the sculptural titanium architecture.
A four-day in-house manual movement
Inside is an in-house developed manual-winding calibre made from 364 components, running at 2.5Hz with 29 jewels and a 96-hour power reserve.
The crown and movement bridges continue the architectural theme through layered forms and structural detailing, making the mechanics part of the building rather than something hidden behind it.
Price and Dubai Watch Week timing
The MB&F HM11 Architect ART DECO is priced at CHF 198,000 plus VAT, or EUR 215,000 plus VAT, and arrives ahead of Dubai Watch Week, which runs from November 19 to 23.
This is a watch for collectors who already understand MB&F’s language and want one of its most literal fusions of architecture and horology, especially in a run small enough to feel genuinely scarce.
