Lynk & Co 900 flagship PHEV SUV arrives in Qatar

Qatar’s luxury SUV market has a new entrant with the local debut of the Lynk & Co 900, the brand’s full-size flagship plug-in hybrid SUV.

Auto Class Cars, a subsidiary of Nasser Bin Khaled Group and the authorised general distributor of Lynk & Co in Qatar, introduced the model at Rosewood Hotel Doha in Lusail.

The 900 arrives as Lynk & Co’s most ambitious SUV to date, pairing a large three-row cabin with a powerful hybrid system and a screen-rich interior aimed at families who want comfort, technology and long-distance flexibility in one package.

The unveiling brought together senior figures from Nasser Bin Khaled Group, Auto Class Cars and Lynk & Co Middle East, alongside guests, stakeholders, media and digital creators.

The official presentation was led by H.E. Sheikh Nawaf Bin Nasser Bin Khaled Al Thani, Chairman of Nasser Bin Khaled Group, and H.E. Sheikh Faleh Bin Nawaf Al Thani, Managing Director of the Automotive Sector at Nasser Bin Khaled Group.

They were joined by Hani Abdo, CEO of Nasser Bin Khaled Holding Company, Tian Jinjun, Chief Executive Officer and Regional Representative of Lynk & Co Middle East, and Frank Zauner, General Manager of Auto Class Cars.

For Auto Class Cars, the 900 is positioned as a high-profile addition to a growing Lynk & Co presence in Qatar, with an emphasis on electrified performance and premium practicality rather than a conventional luxury SUV formula.

H.E. Sheikh Faleh Bin Nawaf Al Thani described the launch as a new era in mobility for Qatar and part of a wider strategy to bring advanced Lynk & Co products to the local market.

Frank Zauner noted that demand for the Lynk & Co 900 Ultra PHEV has already been strong, framing the model as a key choice for forward-looking drivers in the segment.

Large proportions and a cabin built around screens

At 5.24 metres long, the Lynk & Co 900 sits firmly in the full-size SUV class and is built on the flat-floor SPA Evo platform.

That architecture helps create a spacious three-row layout, with a second-row bench that slides 55 cm and can rotate 90 or 180 degrees to face rear passengers.

With the leg rests raised, the second row can also convert into a 1.35 by 0.85 metre sleeping platform, a practical detail clearly aimed at family use.

The dashboard is dominated by a 30-inch 6K OLED touchscreen extending from the centre area toward the passenger side, supported by a 12.7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 95-inch augmented reality head-up display.

Rear passengers are not treated as an afterthought, with a 30-inch 6K screen folding from the ceiling and another 30-inch screen available for the second row.

The digital setup runs on dual Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processors using Lynk & Co’s Flyme Auto system.

Material choices include Nappa leather upholstery, translucent crystal-like trim accents and 256-colour ambient lighting that can synchronise with music.

Comfort equipment is extensive, with power adjustment, heating, ventilation and 16-point massage on the outboard seats, plus a chilled 9-litre refrigerator integrated into the centre console.

Hybrid performance with long-range flexibility

The Lynk & Co 900 uses the brand’s EM-P hybrid system, built around a three-speed DHT setup.

The powertrain combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder Drive-E 2.0T T5 engine with P1, P2 and P4 electric motors, sending drive to all four wheels through a dual-speed configuration.

In its highest specification, the system produces 528 kW, equivalent to 710 hp, and around 1,000 Nm of torque.

That output gives the large SUV a claimed 0 to 100 km/h time of approximately 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h.

A 52.38 kWh battery supports up to 170 km of pure electric driving on the NEDC cycle, while total combined range is listed at approximately 870 km.

DC fast charging from 20 to 80 percent is achievable in 17 minutes, and a 60-litre fuel tank supports longer journeys beyond city driving.

The drivetrain supports pure electric, hybrid and range-extender operation, with five intelligent driving modes intended to balance efficiency and performance across different conditions.

Exterior details and everyday usability

The 900’s exterior combines a panoramic fixed glass roof with a substantial SUV stance and 20 or 21-inch alloy wheels.

It rides on 275/45 R21 tyres in the confirmed 21-inch configuration and offers approximately 20 cm of ground clearance.

One of its more distinctive features is the Electric Unbounded Tailgate, a split tailgate design that opens upward and downward, with the lower section able to serve as a sheltered platform or seat.

Soft-close doors, heated cameras integrated into the door mirrors and tinted acoustic glass underline the model’s premium brief while adding useful everyday refinement.

The Lynk & Co 900’s arrival gives Qatar’s full-size SUV buyers a notably different proposition, especially for those open to plug-in hybrid technology but unwilling to compromise on space, performance or rear-seat comfort.
